240V / 2hp pressure washer

240V / 2hp pressure washer

Anyone running a 240V / 2hp pressure washer? After real-world performance and reliability feedback

I'm looking at a Spitwater HP10-090, a single-phase electric cold water unit. Specs are 90 bar (1305 psi), 10 L/min, 2hp 240V motor, 1450 rpm low-speed pump, runs off a standard 10 amp plug.

I do rope access and facade cleaning work, so it'd get used hard and regularly, not just the odd weekend job. Before I commit I want to hear from people who've actually lived with one of these mid-size electric units rather than going off the brochure.

A few things I'm trying to get a read on:

  • How's the 2hp motor holding up under sustained use? Any overheating or tripping issues on a 10 amp circuit?
  • Is the low-speed 1450 rpm pump actually lasting longer than the high-speed ones, or is that just marketing?
  • Real cleaning performance at 90 bar / 10 L/min. Enough grunt for facades, render, and general commercial muck, or do you end up wishing you'd gone bigger?
  • Anything that's failed early or been a pain to get parts/service for?

Happy to hear about Spitwater specifically or comparable electric units in this class. Cheers.
