Urgent Advice Needed: Fry Deaths During Sex Reversal

I’m kindly asking for advice and guidance from experienced fish farmers and aquaculture professionals. I am facing a serious problem with my Oreochromis niloticus (Nile tilapia) fry.

Whenever I collect the fry and start the sex-reversal feeding program, I experience significant mortality. Before they die, the fry show the symptoms shown in the attached pictures.

For those with more experience in tilapia fry production and sex reversal, what could be the possible cause of this problem, and what measures can I take to control or prevent the mortality?

I would greatly appreciate your advice, experience, and guidance on how to manage this problem. Thank you in advance.

Looking for opportunities to gain international experience in fish hatcheries and aquaculture

Hello everyone,

I'm a fish farming professional from Tanzania with 5 years of experience in the aquaculture industry. I currently work as a fish farm manager, and I'm passionate about fish farming and continuously improving my knowledge and skills.

My long-term goal is to specialize in fish seed production (hatchery operations). I'm particularly interested in learning more about:

* Hatchery management and fish seed production * Larviculture and fry rearing * Water quality management * Broodstock management * Fish health and biosecurity * Farm management and production planning * Modern aquaculture technologies and best practices

I'm looking for opportunities **outside Africa** where I can gain hands-on experience, whether through an internship, training program, volunteering, a short course, or employment. My goal is to learn from experienced professionals and bring that knowledge back to help improve aquaculture in my country.

If you know of any fish farms, hatcheries, research institutes, universities, or organizations that offer these kinds of opportunities, I would be very grateful for your recommendations. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!
