This ghostly crimson princess has its origins in the film "Tales of the Pale Moon," inspired by stories by Ueda Akinari, which in turn were based on Japanese folklore. It's not surprising that this supernatural figure once tormented or bewitched the unwary according to her whims before inhabiting a double-edged sword.

Beihime was never seen again, but some say that on certain nights of the full moon, during the time when Urahara was stationed at the Twelfth Division barracks, a distant, almost imperceptible whisper could be heard accompanying the young captain's footsteps. A harmonious and melancholic woman's song that discouraged encounters and drove passersby away.
