Restoring Foreskin Yet? bracelet
While I was at a community meeting the other night, one of the women I hang out with there nudged me afterwards. She said, "Ok, I noticed your bracelet, and ... I just have to ask. What's that all about?"
My bracelet is one of those rubber band ones that usually say bland things or are for various charities etc. However, I made mine custom online to say "Restoring Foreskin Yet? NORM.ORG" in various colors. Honestly I never thought anyone would actually read them! So I was slightly caught off guard, but said I was happy to talk about it. I gave her an out, saying it's about male anatomy, and she said she was all in.
With a slow breath, I started out by talking about how circumcision is pretty rampantly done without reason in our country (the USA), and a little bit about how unfair it is, how much we lose, and bodily autonomy. She kept nodding while I was speaking, and has sons, so it was possible her sons were spared the knife. Then I got into how it was possible to restore - or regrow - your foreskin if you had it taken from you.
By this time, a couple of the other community members had gathered (two men, one woman), and were actively listening to me talk about restoring foreskin. The general reaction was "No way! You can do that?!" and I assured them you very much can do that with enough time, effort, and patience. I said I thought it was a scam until I literally had hands-on experience. One of the guys looked interested, but didn't say anything before leaving. The original woman who nudged me looked surprised, and I think she probably Googled it when she got home.
So folks notice you are restoring, even if you don't show them your penis. Keep spreading the good word, and educating the masses!
