Hesitating on Grizl CF 6

Hi everyone,

I’ve been overanalyzing my next bike choice for more than two months, and I finally settled on the Grizl CF 6 (SRAM Apex) in the beautiful Pineapple Gummy colorway. It ticks all my boxes, but as I dig deeper into reviews, I'm starting to get cold feet.

This will be my second "serious" bike, and I’m not a hardcore mechanic, so I really want to avoid buying a headache or something that will constantly annoy me.
Two main issues keep popping up in reviews and forums regarding the Grizl:

  1. Chain slap / Chainstay protection: I’ve read quite a few complaints about the frame design causing the chain to slap heavily against the rear triangle. Some people are literally wrapping pieces of old inner tubes around the chainstay to protect it. Is the stock protection really that bad on the Grizl?

  2. Pressfit Bottom Bracket: A lot of people seem to hate on the Pressfit BB due to potential creaking issues down the line. As someone who just wants to ride and not worry about constant maintenance, should I be worried?

Are these issues actually widespread dealbreakers, or is it just the classic case of "the loud minority" online?
Should I pull the trigger and look forward to my NBD, or should I look at other options? Would love to hear from current Grizl CF owners.

Thanks in advance!
