Fresh off the lathe! ๐Ÿฅณ

This was a fun one to do! It's always interesting figuring out how I want to tackle new designs, and the order of operations necessary to make something happen. I am super excited with how this desk pen turned out!

"Coastal 2.0" resin from Point Blankz Casting with Aurora Opal accent. This guy is sporting a Jowo #6 nib and takes good ol' standard international converters or carts!

A couple newly-finished ones! โ˜บ๏ธ

First up, we have some Omas Caramel Swirl acrylate, which has been paired with some aluminum accent bands, stainless steel clip (still needs a final polish), and bi-color Pelikan M800 (M) nib! Fills via Pilot CON-70 converter.

Second is in some GORGEOUS Aurora Opal imitation opal (ty u/SincerelySpicy for the discussion on my previous post!), which has been paired with a nice crispy 14k Omas (EF) nib. This one also fills via Pilot CON-70 converter.

Thanks for taking the time to check them out!

Crazy that we can make pens out of opals ๐Ÿคฉ

Howdy friends!

For a long time, now, I have wanted to get my hands on some synthetic opal to make pens with, and by golly I finally got the chance!

This thing turned out beautifully, if I do say so myself, and I'm excited to have a few other projects with some other colorways in the pipeline.

Finally finished this guy up today!

It has been scorching here in Arizona, so it's been slow going, working out in the shop. Nonetheless, I was able to get this guy finished up today! Really enjoying how this one has turned out.

Made with:

"Irish Cream" Crazy Fiber micarta

Velvety brown acrylic

Aluminum accent rings

18k (M) nib & clip from Omas 360 Mezzo

Fills via Pilot CON-70 converter

Fun project ๐Ÿ™‚

The threads on the original section for this Magna Carta pen were somehow broken at some point, and I was asked if I would be able to make a new section for it. I am really happy with how this "Fawkes Tail" resin from Pourly Controlled matches up with the original acrylic!

NPD & NID!!

If you haven't checked them out yet, you should definitely give Thomas Slim a look! Their first foray into the consumer market is their Tangier pen - I've been using one of the pre-production models for over a year now, and the build quality is fantastic, fit & finish are spot on, and I'm a big fan of the design overall.

This particular Tangier is actually a tester for their new, yet-to-be-released "Mosaic" version, which is slightly larger, uses a #6 nib instead of the #5 on the standard, and has an all-metal grip section with a lovely texture on it. Really excited to have this guy for test driving, and can highly, highly recommend giving these pens a try!

Super happy with this guy! The material is a custom colorway of Nikko ebonite, inspired by the "Starry Night" palette. I love the swirls, spirals, and variations in it!

This pen is a bit slimmer than the ones I normally make, with 12mm cap threads, and takes a Jowo #6 nib & standard international converter/cartridges!

Thanks for lookin'! โ˜บ๏ธ

Another cool one to share, fresh off the lathe!

Love how this one turned out! It's made using two gorgeous acrylics, Conway Colors "Pistachio" & a stunning vintage mint-chocolatey colorway, along with raw brass accent rings and clip. It will have a 14k (M) gold nib, and takes standard international converter or cartridges.

Thanks for looking!

NPD!

Excited to share this/these!

A while back, Chuck Finley, of CFinleyArt , reached out to ask about getting a custom pen from me. One thing led to another, and instead of just getting a pen, he and I ended up working on this collaboration! He's a talented water color artist, and the pictured PB&J painting was the perfect inspiration for a theme.

Made with a beautiful PB&J swirl resin from Kevin Zogg, and some ghost gold & pecan brown resin from The Pensmiths, I love how these guys turned out!

Jowo #6 nib, and standard international converter/cartridge compatibility. Can also be eye-droppered!

Howdy! Got a couple purty ones to share with you guys today ๐Ÿ˜

I'm a huge fan of these Black Magic Pen Co. resins, and I love how these two turned out! Both have a ton of very intense, shimmery goodness, especially in the sun!

First material is called "Shiden Shinkai"

Second is "Galactic Sync"

They both take Jowo #6 nibs and standard international converter or cartridges, and can be eye dropper filled as well.

Thanks for looking!

Howdy! Another fun build to share with you all today ๐Ÿ˜

This big guy is, yet again, my longest pen to date! Lol. It's about 9.75"/245mm capped, just under 8"/205mm uncapped, and takes Jowo #6 nibs and standard international converter. Could always be eye-droppered, too! Resin is a beautiful mix called "Red Rocks" from Point Blankz!

So, this one was fun! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ By far, the longest pen I have made to date!

Sometimes I enjoy doing something outside of my wheelhouse, and this thing definitely qualifies for that! It's about 9"/226mm long, capped, and not much shorter uncapped, with a chunky section that tapers from 14mm at the nib to around 16mm. At 31g with a converter installed, it's actually quite comfortable to hold despite its crazy size! Takes Jowo #6 nibs and standard international converter

New Ink Day! It might be a developing problem... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜

Wearingeul Tick Tock Croc

Quite a pretty color, with a good amount going on in it! I have been extremely pleased with the Wearingeul inks I have tried so far, and while I'm not a huge shimmer person, I may be picking some up soon ๐Ÿ˜…

I don't normally go for vac filling pens, as I like to swap inks fairly often, but I was set on picking up the Signature nib and the 823 is the only model in which it's available. Really excited to have this in the mix - IT'S SO SMOOTH! ๐Ÿ˜

I have always drooled over pens using the Arco Bronze celluloids, especially the creme de la crema like the Omas Paragon. Never truly thought I'd have the opportunity to play with one, let alone add one to the quiver. But, here we are!
