Help on designing a tuner against noise

I am trying to create a tuner by doing FT on the signal then doing a weighed sum of the amplitudes to find the dominant frequency and well it gets the clean notes but if i add enough background noise it starts not rly working anymore. I am new to all this so pls bare with me as I have a few questions:

  1. Applying pass filters would rly help since its the same as after doing the FT just not looking at those unwanted freqs

  2. Would it help if i did a matched filtering? since that should tell me how strongly the signal i get is correlated to some note and it also accounts for the fact that the note is not played continuosly. What im having srs trouble is understanding how these compares to the FT in the way u analyse things. Cause FT also kinda shows how well a freq corelates to the signal u have which makes me wonder what difference in information do these two give?

  3. Any other ideas if I have random noise in the 200-20kHz range?

i2c slave pulls SCL LOW

I am trying to program an INA219AID sensor with i2c. I have made a pcb board which is like a module. I have concern as to wether or not we soldered it with the right positioning. Tested it and no leaks to gnd and every pin is connected. Problem is that whenever I call for this slave it pulls SCL low forever. I checked all this with an osciloscope and theres not much to say other that Im not getting an ACK bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THe J11-13 pins dont rly matter as far as the device responding goes (i think, since normally its just for me to put the shunt resistor).
