Subreddit Update - October 2026

Hi all, u/RWJP here.

I just wanted to give a quick update on things so everyone is on the same page. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago Ns2-, the creator of this subreddit, had their account hacked. This temporarily meant that both myself and them were removed from moderating the subreddit, and the hackers took over. Thankfully, the Reddit admins acted quickly before any further damage was done, banned both hackers and reinstated me as a moderator. You can read more about that here. Unfortunately, Ns2-'s account remains compromised at this time so can't be added back.

In the meantime, I want to reassure you all that it's business as usual on the subreddit. Nothing is changing in terms of how the subreddit works.

I have made a couple of small updates though. A community member, /u/ephoenix99 noticed that our subreddit rules weren't being displayed on New Reddit and Mobile. I've fixed that now so no matter how our subreddit is accessed the rules are clear.

I've also added in the recommendation about not using Imgur into the rules permanently. We were already enforcing that for a couple of years but it was only through a stickied thread, now it be permanent.

Thanks all.

Big Autumn Preview: Kill Team Armageddon - The Box, Orks and Terrain

https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/ltbqrokb/the-big-autumn-preview-the-legion-of-the-damned-enter-the-killzone/

Against them stands a team of vicious Boss Nobz – the cream of the Orks’ elite warriors. You may have seen them in our reveal, or inside Codex: Orks, but the Kill Team:Armageddon boxed set is where they will be available first.

These hardcore veterans have survived wars on dozens of worlds and tower over their lesser kin, adorned in thick armour plates and carrying a wide variety of eclectic Ork weapons. Some are obsessed with dakka and dual-wield kustom shootas, while others delight in flame-fuelled destruction and heft an enormous skorcha* into the killzone.

Speaking of killzones, a whole new set of terrain is the battleground for this clash of fire and fury, with wrecked vehicles and crumbling buildings painting a picture of the devastation unleashed upon Armageddon.

The Killzone: Armageddon terrain is designed to stylistically fit in with the existing Battlezone Fronteris kits, but in a more battle-worn state. You get two sturdy bunkers, which have their own rules for the desperate close-quarters fights that happen when an unlucky operative has to storm one. There are also ruins and scatter terrain, including a wrecked Redemptor Dreadnought and Rogal Dorn Battle Tank.

To top it all off, you get the customary sets of datacards to help keep your important rules in mind, and the Kill Team: Armageddon Dossier, which contains all of the rules you need for both kill teams as well as background lore on the Legion of the Damned, Ork Nobz, and the desperate times that threw these bitter foes together.

We can’t wait to see the Legion of the Damned back on the tabletop, and we’ll be taking a closer look at their rules (for both Kill Team AND Warhammer 40,000) as we get closer to release.

Big Autumn Preview: Kill Team Armageddon - Plastic Legion of the Damned

https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/ltbqrokb/the-big-autumn-preview-the-legion-of-the-damned-enter-the-killzone/

After years as little more than whispered legends, the Legion of the Damned return to the 41st Millennium in a new Kill Team box set amidst the unending slaughter on Armageddon.

The Legion of the Damned step forth from a halo of witchfire to unleash burning retribution on the xenos brutes. With fire and fury, they take on the elite Ork Nobz Mob and bring aid to the beleaguered planet.

Each spectral Legionnaire is covered in skeletal details and wreathed in ethereal flames. Their true nature eludes even the most persistent of Inquisitors, and though they can be credited with turning the tide of countless battles, few know to whom – or what – they owe their lives.

The Legion’s mysterious, ghostly nature makes this kill team play wildly differently from other Space Marines, as they must solidify their connection to the material plane over time to reach the height of their power. Early in the game, they move and fight slower than regular Space Marines, but as turning points tick over and their form solidifies, they grow to become terrifying, spectral monsters, bursting at the seams with eldritch fire.

Big Autumn Preview: Adeptus Custodes Codex, New Aquilon Terminators and Combat Patrol

https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/61ej8fdr/the-big-autumn-preview-custodian-terminators-step-from-the-vaults/

Dire times have drawn the vaunted Adeptus Custodes into the fight, and now their elite Aquilon Terminators deploy alongside the next new Codex for Warhammer 40,000.

The warriors chosen to wear advanced suits of Aquilon Terminator armour are the true cream of the crop, who enter battle clad in some of the rarest and most durable plate the Imperium has ever seen. These ancient relics are usually outfitted for combat with one of two loadouts – either with lastrum storm bolters and swift Solarite power talons, or adrathic combi-destructors and devastating Solarite power gauntlets.

Like Allarus Terminators, these veteran warriors are immensely durable and can wipe out units many times their size. Their miniatures are accordingly covered in fine ornamental details, making each Terminator a display-worthy piece that together look awesome arrayed together on the battlefield.

The new Aquilon Terminators can be used in both the Age of Darkness and the 41st Millennium. Their Warhammer: The Horus Heresy rules can be found in the Liber Custodes: The Forces of the Emperor Army Book while their Warhammer 40,000 rules will be in the new Codex: Adeptus Custodes. This book follows the pattern of the previous Orks and Space Marines Codexes, with the standard softback release packing tons of background lore, hobby guides, and army rules together in a decorative slipcase.

This Codex also marks an epochal change for the Adeptus Custodes as a faction, as their datasheets are fundamentally rescaled to reflect the near-mythical demigod heroes we know and love from the lore. Even the most ‘basic’ Custodian fights at a power level beyond most Space Marine heroes, with points levels and squad sizes adjusted to make them the true most elite army in the game.*

The new Codex will be accompanied by a Combat Patrol – the perfect place to enter this new era of Imperial domination, packed with powerful warriors and advanced technology.

A Shield Captain leads a potent strike force of six Sentinel Guard and three Venatari, backed up by a towering Contemptor-Achillus Dreadnought. If you’re not worried about using this box in games of Combat Patrol, you can also build the three squads in alternate configurations, making this one of the most flexible boxes around.

Like other new Codexes in the 11th edition, you’ll also be able to pick up a faction Command Pack containing reference cards and useful tokens – invaluable for keeping your attention on the game while bolt rounds and blades fly.

This new Codex coincides with a range of newer Custodian kits getting their standalone releases, which can all be used in both Warhammer 40,000 AND Warhammer: The Horus Heresy.

The following kits are getting swanky new packaging bearing the logos for both game systems:

  • Shield Captain
  • Custodian Guard Sodality
  • Sentinel Guard Sodality
  • Venatari Sodality
  • Custodian Dreadnought
  • Telemon Heavy Dreadnought
  • Gyrfalcon Jetbike Sodality
  • Pallas Grav-attack
  • Caladius Grav-tank
  • Caladius Annihilator Grav-tank
  • Coronus Grav-carrier

From a Warhammer 40,000 perspective, this is one of the largest expansions of the Adeptus Custodes range since the faction first launched, and gives budding Captain-Generals a vast well of reinforcements to draw from. We hope you’ve stocked up on Retributor Armour paint.

We’ll have more from the new Codex, including further details about their enhanced statlines, as we get closer to release. In the meantime, head back to the reveals hub to see what else we’ve shown off today.

Both moderators removed from a subreddit, new unrelated account added. No contact from admins.

Hi all,

I am not sure if this is quite the right place to post so if there is somewhere better to go, please let me know.

I have been the moderator of /r/WarhammerInstructions for several years along with /u/ns2- who created the subreddit approximately 11 years ago.

As of approximately 15 minutes ago, both of us were removed as moderators of the subreddit and a new account that we have had no contact with has been added as the only moderator. There have been no messages in modmail about this issue before this happened either. Edit: While posting this a second account was added, again we have had no contact with that user. Neither account shows any posts in the usual subreddits to request moderation of a subreddit.

I do not believe this would be an inactive takeover as I took moderator actions on that subreddit yesterday.

Can anyone provide any advice, guidance or what process I should follow in this case?

Big Summer Preview: Kill Team Exodite - Plastic Exodites models for the first time!

Aeldari Exodites are finally on their way to the battlefields of the 41st Millennium!

Exodites have been part of Warhammer 40,000 lore for decades, and are finally appearing in miniature with Kill Team: Exodite.

These Aeldari were the first to abandon their kin prior to the fall, escaping through the Webway to settle on the maiden worlds of their people. These days you’ll find them riding around on awesome dragons*.

The new boxed set features a full kill team of three Aeldari Dragon Masters and two Drakolithes, as well as a host of invading Beast Snagga Boyz and Squighog Boyz NPOs for them to battle.

When hunting, the Exodite Dragon Masters operate as a ritual triad, making them a very small and elite kill team. Here’s a closer look at each one:

Clanblade

Fighting atop ferocious redmaw drakesteeds, Clanblades are close-quarters warriors who wield powered swords and axes. They excel at assessing and understanding the abilities of their prey, directing their fellow Exodites in battle before striking down the deadliest foes.

Stonesinger

These powerful psykers are able to contact the souls within a world spirit.** Riding venomcrest drakesteeds into battle, they unleash their powers to rupture enemy armour, flesh, and bone, or to heal their fellow Dragon Masters.

Leystalker

Leystalkers are master snipers, capable of firing with reflexive accuracy, and at speeds that would shock other marksmen. Together with their darkscale drakesteeds, they seek out the most advantageous positions from which to unleash devastating volleys of rifle fire.

Drakolithes

Accompanying the Dragon Masters are smaller, scaled beasts called Drakolithes. They chase down escaping targets, intercept outflanking enemies, and use their predatory skills to detect prey attempting to hide.

Exodite Dragon Knights

The Dragon Masters kit can alternatively be assembled as lance-armed Exodite Dragon Knights, who will have rules for Warhammer 40,000. We’ll have more on those rules soon, so stay tuned to Warhammer Community.

The miniatures will be available for the first time in the Kill Team: Exodite boxed set, where they will be seeking to defend their world from a brutal Ork invasion.

The dossier is a real treasure trove of Exodite lore, and includes a wealth of information about the culture, weapons, and beasts of these elusive Aeldari. It also contains a guide to building and painting terrain to create your own maiden world.

There are also 20 new Joint Ops missions that form a branching campaign, pitting the Dragon Masters against the Beast Snagga NPOs.

Big Summer Preview - Plastic Custodian Reinforcements: Telemon Dreadnought, Pallas Grav-attack, Gyrfalcon Jetbikes

Custodes Support Battle Group

The new Custodes Support Battle Group box adds three elite units from different divisions of the Ten Thousand to your army, consisting of four Gyrfalcon Jetbikes, a Pallas Grav-attack, and a Telemon Heavy Dreadnought.

… And yes, you did see right. This is the first box branded with both the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy logos. Elite warriors like these transcend eras, after all.

Telemon Heavy Dreadnought

Telemon Heavy Dreadnoughts are some of the largest Dreadnoughts deployed by the Imperium – rivalling the massive Saturnine-pattern in size. They are also amongst the rarest, and each is said to include an armour plate fashioned by the Emperor’s own hand. The weapons they carry are usually only seen on much larger tanks and war engines.

This new multi-part plastic Telemon Dreadnought comes with its full complement of main weapons, each boasting an elaborate and tricky-to-spell name befitting the Emperor’s guardians. You can choose from a Telemon caestus with twin neutronium cascade projector (for crushing foes in combat), an Arachnus storm cannon (for taking on all comers), an adrathic desolator (for slaying Terminators), and an Iliastus accelerator culverin (for obliterating Space Marines).

Its finely wrought chassis has been upgraded with additional decorations befitting the greatest Custodian heroes, and it also mounts a powerful Spiculus missile launcher on its shoulders.

Pallas Grav-attack

Based on the same grav-lift technology used by Coronus carriers and Caladius tanks, the Pallas Grav-attack is a blisteringly fast hunter-killer armed with weapons heavier than can be carried by jetbike Sodalities. This rapid strike vehicle can shred enemy armour with a twin Arachnus blaze cannon or blast elite warriors to bits with a twin Iliastus accelerator fusil – your pick of which nestles neatly under the cockpit.

Gyrfalcon Jetbikes

Agamatus Sodalities prize the Gyrfalcon-pattern jetbike for the immense power of its plasma-boosted engine, which allows the nimble craft to carry both a heavily armoured Custodian and a potent ranged weapon in the hull. So armed, these fast attack units screen the main Custodian force and strike at the enemy’s flanks, simultaneously preventing encirclement and reaping a bloody toll on their battle lines.

Each of the four jetbikes included in the Support Battle Group box can be equipped with one of four (also elaborately-named) weapons – an adrathic devastator, a lastrum bolt cannon, a twin Corvae las-pulser, or a new Arachnus volley cannon – and can have the rider holding their power lance or leaving it stowed.

Big Summer Preview - Codex Orks, New Trukk and Mek

Codex: Orks

Codex: Orks is the first Codex for the new edition of Warhammer 40,000, and it comes out of the gate like… well, an Ork hungry for a scrap. The new Codex gives an exciting view of what codexes will be in 11th edition, with more lore and gaming content than ever before…and a whole lot more besides!

There’s a new take on the classic Waaagh! army rule – having units get all sorts of bonuses when they’re riled up – and comes with no fewer than 15 detachments to mix and match so you can build your dream horde.

It’s also packed with painting tips, alongside art and faction lore, with loads to read about Orky culture, their main battlegrounds, and a new ‘Collecting’ section giving advice for building Ork armies in four distinct archetypes. You’ll also get in-depth information about all of the faction’s units with the return of bestiary-style lore entries – it’s possibly the most Ork lore in one place ever!

The Codex includes a code, which not only unlocks the book’s rules content in the Warhammer 40,000 App, but will also give you access to quarterly drops of rules and lore all the way through the edition. As each new Codex comes out, those factions will also receive ongoing support via the app, including extra detachments and other rules. Your Codex will be your subscription to a whole edition’s worth of updates.

Trukk

The classic Trukk is vehicle of choice for Boyz looking to close with the enemy at high speed, and now it returns with a brand new, highly customisable kit full of weapon and detail options. Feel like a Big Mek by kustomisin’ your ride with a grabbin’ klaw or a buzzsaw, swap its big shootas for rokkit launchas, or take your pick of a spiked ram or dozer blade, among other options.

This kit can even have its front axles positioned in different ways to lean the whole chassis, so you can depict your Trukk careening into a high-risk turn or simply charging full speed ahead. No two need to look alike!

Mek

But who is going to keep that Trukk in working order? The new Mek of course!

Look, he’s got a crane bolted to his back! He can use it to fix up nearby vehicles and, thanks to his clever know-wotz, can also give +1 to their hit rolls. This cheerful chap is just as good at breaking things as he is at fixing them, and carries a kustom mega-slugga to keep tough customers off his back while he gets to work.

Command Pack: Orks

With so many detachments to choose from now, you’ll want to keep the rules and stratagems you picked close at hand so you don’t have to go digging through the Codex in the heat of battle. The new Command Pack is for just that purpose, giving you 94 handy reference cards – for detachments, stratagems, and enhancements – along with loads of double-sided tokens to keep track of important statuses like stat penalties from unit rules and whether Wazdakka Gutsmek has remembered to choose his Pulse Jet ability.*

The Introductory Set is designed for the very new and eminently curious, coming with 12 miniatures, six paints, an introductory book, a set of folding card terrain, a game mat, and all sorts of information to get started.

Ork players take note – this is also an easy way to add a rocket launcha and a big shoota into the Boyz squad from the Armageddon launch box.

PSA: Armageddon Box Missing Sprues/Duplicate Sprues/Parts Damage

Unfortunately we have started seeing reports that some people who have purchased the new Armageddon Box have received boxes with sprues missing, with some sprues duplicated or parts damaged.

This has naturally led to a number of posts on the subreddit. While we appreciate how frustrating getting a faulty box is, as this subreddit is not an official Games Workshop communications channel, posting here about faulty products will not get you any help.

If you have received an Armageddon Box with any of the above issues there are two main courses of action for you:

  1. If you purchased your box from Games Workshop directly, either through their website or via an official "Warhammer" branded store, then contact Games Workshop's customer support: https://www.warhammer.com/en-GB/contact-us
  2. If you purchased from an independent retailer/local gaming store, you will need to contact that retailer/store directly

If you have identified that your box has missing or duplicate sprues or damaged parts we recommend that you do not start building anything else from the box. Take clear photos of the issues wherever you can and wait for a response from wherever you bought the box from.

We'd also like to take a moment to remind everyone that posts of boxes are considered to be Low Effort under rule 5 of our subreddit and will be removed. We get that you're excited, but we don't need to see a picture of a big cardboard box on the back seat of your car or on your dining room table.

https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/kunoahk1/warhammer-40000-armageddon-unboxing-the-space-marines/

Captain with Relic Shield

Captains are among the finest Space Marines alive, blending decades of experience and strategic knowledge with lethal combat skills. Their exemplary service grants them access to the best wargear in the Chapter armouries, and when preparing for battle against barbarian brutes like the Orks, many will opt for dedicated close combat tools like the blessed relic shield.

Paired with a master-crafted power sword, this equipment allows the Captain to scythe through hordes of Orks like macro-scythes through wheat, while weathering the raw strength of savage foes. The miniature comes with a choice of three heads – bare, a Mk X helmet with an impressive crest, or a Mk VII helmet for that classic look.

This is the character from the front and centre of the box cover, and some of you might recognise the paint scheme on the model above is a nod to the classic cover from the 2nd edition boxed set.

Librarian

The Codiciers and Epistolaries of the Librarium are among the foremost defence against the vile influence of the Immaterium, blessed with ironclad will and masterful control of Warp energies. With little more than a force staff and the mental fortress of their minds, they can wreak havoc upon heretics and xenos alike, while also offering protective powers to any unit they join.

The new miniature is an update on a classic kit. Now, their armour is inscribed with the same blessed wards and arcane inscriptions as their Terminator brethren. Like their Captain, they also have a choice of heads, so you can decide just how much bare skin you want to paint.

Chaplain with Jump Pack

The stirring oratories of the Chapter’s Chaplains drive our honoured brothers to righteous fury, while they smash the Emperor’s enemies aside with wide sweeps of their croziuses.

Their place is in the thick of the melee, so those eager to deliver His judgement personally strap on powerful jump packs and crash into their foes with the force of a thunderbolt. They excel at leading angelic charges while booming litanies of hatred – perfect for inspiring units such as the Vanguard Veterans to fight even harder.

Vanguard Veterans

Those Chapter veterans who serve best in the cut-and-thrust of close combat are assembled into units of elite jump pack-equipped specialists known as Vanguard Veterans. Their packs allow them to deploy from overhead gunships or leap fearlessly into the fray from behind friendly lines, piercing through the Orks’ toughest warriors and cutting a bloody swathe towards their savage commanders.

These veterans hit especially hard on the charge, wielding their master-crafted power weapons with peerless skill. Each warrior proudly bears the Crux Terminatus on their right shoulder pad and the Operation Imperator campaign badge on their left vambrace.

Ancient

Space Marines know no fear, but even they may withdraw in the face of overwhelming force. Not so with a relic banner on the field – the honour of the Chapter spurs the Angels of Death to fight even harder in the presence of their Ancients. Under the banner’s radiant gaze, they will not allow the alien to claim one scrap of Armageddon unopposed.

The standard they carry is the Armageddon campaign banner (the word ‘Armageddon’ is even sculpted on the miniature). Multiple Chapters are fighting on Armageddon – including the Ultramarines, Space Wolves, White Scars, Salamanders, to name a few – and will all have banners like this. The banner features a large, flat area where you can add your Chapter or Company transfers – such as the Blood Angels one here – or you can paint your own designs.

Intercessor Squad

Once equipped in uniform suits of Mk X Tacticus power armour, the ranks of Intercessors that make up the bulk of many Chapters now take to the field in armour that blends the new with the old. The rigours of war mean that many suits have been repaired with anything the Chapter has on hand, be it freshly minted breastplates, scavenged pauldrons, or ancient helmets that have seen centuries of glorious service.

No matter its makeup, this armour serves its purpose: to clad the Angels of Death in the finest protection available, and to ensure they will visit His judgement onto the alien, the mutant, and the heretic for centuries to come.

Eradicator Squad with Heavy Bolters

Mk X Gravis armour increases the resilience of its wearer to incredible levels, allowing them to weather firepower that would fell scores of human soldiers and to fire heavy weapons with the ease that a Guardsman fires their lasgun. Eradicator squads with melta rifles are a common sight on many battlefields, turning enemy tanks into heaps of molten metal.

To deal with the unfathomable hordes of Orks storming Armageddon’s hive cities, Eradicator Squads have begun to carry heavy bolters into battle, giving Space Marine Captains the ability to eliminate vast numbers with only a handful of battle brothers.

Land Speeder

Among the fastest war machines available to the Adeptus Astartes, Land Speeders rake infantry and vehicles alike with devastating barrages as they soar across the battlefield. Equipped with an onslaught gatling cannon as standard, they can replace it with a potent heavy flamer to blanket the Orks with scorching promethium, and dart quickly away from return fire as the pathetic xenos struggle to draw a bead.*

It’s also got a multi-melta AND missiles, making them especially good at killing enemy vehicles. Their speed allows them to get their deadly flamer and multi-melta into range, or to stay out of trouble when using their longer-ranged onslaught cannons and missiles.

All of these new miniatures are push-fit kits, so you can assemble your strike force in double time and rush to the Imperium’s aid. They can also be outfitted in the liveries of any Chapter – and it would be a foolish commander who’d quibble over which of the Angels of Death delivered them from doom.

https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/dmmfaihb/warhammer-40000-armageddon-unboxing-the-orks/

Warboss

Da Warboss is da biggest, strongest, toughest Ork – dat’s why they’re in charge. This one is armed with a kustom shoota (for shootin') and a kustom choppa (for choppin’). He loves hacking his foes apart at close quarters – he hits like a trukk in melee – and his rampages inspire the rest of the Boyz to fight even harder.

He’s been learning from some classic Orks and is proudly showing off a back banner!! We’re also happy to see the hazard stripes on the frayed and torn cable powering the choppa – got to stay safe while you’re krumpin’.

Bigboss

Da Bigboss is da second biggest, second strongest, and second toughest Ork – dat’s why they’re second in command. They specialise in giving enemy champions a good kicking, hacking foes to bitz with a two-handed big choppa. They also have an eye on bein’ in charge one day, so they have lots to prove on the battlefield.

Like the Warboss, they’re happiest in close combat, and they also buff any unit they’re added to. The biggest advantage they have over the Warboss is the fact they’re accompanied by a Squig!

Bannernob

Da Waaagh! banner is ded important – when Orks see it, they get riled up and storm headlong into the enemy. Often, a Nob gets the honour of carrying it, and will happily beat up any other Ork that tries to take it off him.

The banner pole has loads of Orky features, and the banner also has sculpted details. There’s a nice big blank space where you can put the glyphs of yer own Waaagh!, whether you prefer to add them by hand or use some Ork clan transfers.

Painboy

The best Painboyz are accompanied by a Grot orderly, and these helpers will sometimes carry a bone saw to help “fix” wounded Orks. The Painboyz own tools can be used to tend wounds, but are just as useful for butchering the enemy too. Who knows what’s in that syringe that’s good for Orks but bad for everyone else!

Weirdboy

Weirdboyz are a conduit for the power of the Waaagh!. Da Boyz love hangin’ out with Weirdboyz because their psychic powers either work and the enemy gets a good krumpin’ or the Weirdboy’s head explodes, which the Boyz find hilarious.

They have a couple of psychic abilities – ’Eadbanger, a brutal ranged attack; and Da Jump, a kunnin’ way of getting the Boyz around the battlefield. Plus, they can also hit any beakies that get too close with their Waaagh! staff.

Boyz

Boyz are the heart of every Waaagh! and you get 20 in the box. They’ve learned how to be more kunnin’ and brutal than ever – now they carry a shoota AND a slugga! Da Boss Nob has a choice of a kombi-rokkit or a kombi-shoota, and there are cosmetic options, including interchangeable ‘eads, so yer mob can all look different.

The new Boyz look noticeably more brutish, ready to batter their enemies in close combat. They’re also carrying more gear, and still happy putting out loads of dakka – even if their aim hasn’t got any better.

Gretchin

Who gave the Grots their own week?! You get 10 of these little critters in Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon, which is just about enough to gang up and mug an unsuspecting Space Marine. Each Gretchin has a choice of two build options, so you can kustomise yer thievin’ scavengers.

Grots are surprisingly good shots, and work as excellent distraction or screening units, or they can grab objectives in your own territory while no one is looking.

Wartrakk

Orks have loved Wartrakks forever, and now da Meks have been hard at work updating them. They’re fast and lightly armoured, with a rack of rokkits fired by the Nob on the back. They’re usually seen alongside Warbikes, providing mobile firepower.

The shootin’ might not be that accurate, but it forces enemy units to keep their heads down. Then, while the beakies have got their eyes on the ground, you can drive into them and hit them with your choppas!

Big Mek Dakkarig

It’s great when the Big Meks make summat new, cos it either blows up (which is ded funny) or it’s really killy! The Dakkarig is the latter, firing loadsa shots from its blitzkannon and a buncha rokkits too – making it shootier than a Deff Dread for the loss of some close combat hitting power. It’s also got a kustom force field in case the beakies try to shoot back at it.

When the Big Mek is sufficiently braced, it's surprisingly accurate, and the blitzkannon is incredibly effective when shooting at smaller enemies as they are blown apart in hails of massive shells. We’ll be showing off its rules here on Warhammer Community soon, so keep your bionik eyes peeled.

All of da minis are push fit, which means you can build yer Waaagh! ded quik, and there are no clan markings, so they’re ded easy to add straight into yer army. Check out these ones painted as Bad Moons, Evil Sunz, and Deathskulls.

Core Rules

The core rules of Warhammer 40,000 have been updated for the new edition, with loads of tweaks and adjustments that make your games more fun and engaging than ever before. The changes make it easier to create exciting stories and cinematic moments while keeping a balanced and competitive core that all players can enjoy. The rules are now laid out in a standalone book, which is more easily referenced, with clear writing and indexed sections, so you can spend even more time rolling dice and playing the game.

This Core Rules book is presented in a smaller format that can be easily carried from game to game, and is light enough to slip into any bag or big pocket you might have. Handy for avid gamers and hobbyists alike!

Chapter Approved 26-27 Mission Deck

The Chapter Approved deck returns with all-new missions and objectives for the new edition, designed to work with the new Force Disposition system to give you a thematic and engaging experience every time. There are 25 individual missions, updated secondary missions, deployment cards that give players three balanced choices for every mission matchup, and several useful tokens for marking terrain objectives.

If you’ve played games of Warhammer 40,000 with a Chapter Approved deck in the last few years, you know what to expect here – just better.

Dominatus Campaign Deck

This exciting new deck lets you and your fellow players link your games of Warhammer 40,000 together into a grand campaign for the future of Armageddon, or any other war zone. Taking place over three campaign phases, these dynamic cards set out briefings for individual Alliances, assign Agendas to complete over the course of multiple games, and reward standout units with Upgrades that persist throughout the campaign.

Each of the three Alliances has nine unique Agendas they can try to score during their games, and doing so earns them a special card that affects the end of the campaign. They’ll also vie for control of critical locations on the planet, each of which gives the controlling Alliance special rules that will affect future games and adds thematic rules to the battlefield, such as dangerous rockfalls and crumbling ruins that damage units sheltering inside.

This is the easiest way ever to set up a Warhammer 40,000 campaign, removing the bookkeeping, and you can run an entire campaign in a weekend.

Armageddon Datasheet Cards

Each of the units included in Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon comes with a datasheet card with its rules, so you can get playing right out of the box. They’re a handy game aid with all of the unit’s rules in one place, and a great way to reference the ins-and-outs of your troops without taking your attention away from the battlefield.

Armageddon Transfer Sheet

The new Armageddon transfer sheet features 728 high-quality waterslide transfers. These include Chapter symbols for the Ultramarines, Blood Angels, Salamanders, Crimson Fists, and White Scars – the Chapters leading the charge on Armageddon.* There are also glyphs for Goffs, Bad Moons, and Evil Sunz, and numerals and other markings to further decorate your miniatures. Many of the miniatures in Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon – including the Ancient and Bannernob – have blank spaces, and these new transfers have been designed with this in mind.

Operation Imperator Lore Book

For the first time, all of the latest lore developments are contained in a dedicated book separate from the game rules – Operation Imperator. This 114-page guide to the current action beneath Armageddon’s ash-choked skies follows on from Armageddon: The Return of Yarrick, and sets up the ongoing conflict across the planet as reinforcements thunder down from the heavens.

While much of the rest of the box will be available separately at a later date, Operation Imperator will only be available in Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon. This is for the fans who want to join the first wave and jump into the lore of this war-torn world.

###** 20:30 BST: Post restrictions are now being lifted.**

###** 18:55 BST: Post restrictions are now live. Enjoy the reveals everyone.**

Hi all,

As I am sure most of you know, the Armageddon Box Preview is happening in less than 3 hours, finally showing off the full contents of the new 11th Edition Launch Box!

For those who don't know, GW is doing a Preview event for the Armageddon Launch Box for 11th Edition. It starts at 11:00 PDT, 19:00 BST, 20:00 CEST, 03:00 JST, 04:00 AEST. You'll find it on GW's news site Warhammer Community: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/ or on their Twitch channel: https://www.twitch.tv/warhammer

To help minimise and manage the inevitable spam of repeated news posts that comes with these events we will be putting temporary post restrictions in place for the duration of the stream, with the option to extend for up to an hour afterwards depending on the level of spam. Post restrictions will start approximately 5 minutes before the livestream, and we will aim to remove them within 5 minutes of the stream ending unless an extension is necessary.

For the duration, you will still be able to submit new posts as normal, but all new posts to the subreddit will be automatically filtered by our Automoderator and will require manual approval before being visible to the rest of the subreddit. Please be patient if your post does not show up immediately, there is no need to message the mods about it.

The /r/Warhammer40k mod team will be posting all relevant news and reveals from the livestream. To ensure consistent, high quality posting, we will not be approving news posts from other community members during this event. The mod team will always use the high quality images provided via the Warhammer Community website along with links to the relevant articles and will not utilise screenshots from the livestream itself.

Comments will be unaffected during this time.

Thanks.
