Mini or SFF PC for Batocera v42 and other emulators

Hey I am looking to get a used SFF PC or mini PC for a retro game center im making that can run these here emulators or builds with no issues or hiccups: Battocera V42 /Teknoparot for my 2 sinden Light Guns and PS3/Ps2 emulators. Also where would you recommend I find a used one I was thinking Best Buy Refurbished or EBay any thoughts?

I have an HP Gaming PC that I have ran ps2 ps3 retro arch etc. emulators with no issues in the past. I tried installing the Batocera V42 light gun build on my PC for almost 2 weeks and could not get it going. After endless hours/days of goggling & bios changes I gave up. I ended up installing the build on my HP laptop and it loaded with no issues, I am still making adjustments but it loaded all the way through.  I goggled some info and came up with this. Let me know what you guys think, or recommend

The Top Tier: HP Elite SFF 800 G9

This is the absolute best option for heavy PS3 games and Teknoparrot arcade titles.

·         Processor Options: Intel Core i5-12500, i7-12700, or i5-13500.

·         Why it excels: The 12th and 13th Gen Intel architectures bring a massive jump in single-core speeds, which RPCS3 requires.

 

 

 

 

The Balanced Tier: HP EliteDesk 800 G8 SFF

A fantastic mid-range sweet spot that easily handles upscaled PS2 and stable PS3 emulation.

·         Processor Options: Intel Core i5-11500 or i7-11700.

Batocera Black Screen at Initial Start Up PC

Hey guys I have been trying to get my sinden light guns going for the past week.

I have been following the Wiki batocera, Wiki Sinden pages, and Wagner’s Tech Talk as guides that have helped me to this point.

I am trying to install Batocera on to my Samsung External SSD 1TB and just plug into my PC when ever we want to use the Sinden Light Guns. 

So far up to this point I have been able to install Batocera V42 onto my SSD Ext Samsung Drive.  I am able to get the drive to boot on my PC. I get a Batocera is loading text followed by a pictue of John Wick, then a small 5-10 second black screen break , then I get the batocera V42 screen pic and then that’s where it just turns to black. I’ve let the system load in the black screen for up to 30 mins and nothing happens.  I have tried over and over it seems to get stuck at the same point.  I also have not heard any music or sound yet

I have been through tons of reddit and google searches and I have made some of the recommend changes and some I could not figure out how to. 

I feel the only thing I have not tried was mess around with the Nvidia drivers:

Any help, suggestions, and recommendations would be great. I was thinking Batocera would be an easy install and option for the sinden light guns but so far its been a pain. I have used other emulators for other games but never had this much trouble setting up.

I just installed Fresh windows OS on my PC  so everything should be fresh and updated.

 

Here are the Specs of my PC

1-    SSD drive External Samsung SSD External Hard Drive 1TB (for the Batocera v42)

Processor              11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700 @ 2.50GHz (2.50 GHz)

Instaled RAM         16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)

Graphics Card        NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB)

Storage                   2.05 TB

System                    64-bit  OS   and  x64 Based processor

Windows 11 

 

Listed here is are some of the recommended changes that I have done or not done yet.

Batocera Version 42 followed their  guide how use the Tixati to download the file and Winrar to extract the IMG.

 I used a balena ethcer to flash the SSD EXT Samsung Drive.

I already downloaded and installed all the drivers for Sinden on my PC

I have not Changed any resolution settings anywhere 

I have changed the boot order in bios and put the SSD External Samsung EXT drive on the top of the list.

I have Disabled secure boot and I also cleared all secure boot keys

I have not change the Legacy Mode or Legacy Boot  I COULD NOT FIGURE IT OUT

I have not change to UEFI boot  I could not figure out how to
