Rats

Has anyone else seen an increase of Rats in the Croydon Borough, specifically South Norwood?

I can't recall seeing rats outside in the middle of the day in the streets before. I can't work out what has changed that they are so visible now?

Edit: Just for clarity, I'm not talking about rats at the lakes or parks. I am talking about running around suburban streets, in the afternoon to dusk, away from food places. I have not come across this previously, so wanted to understand if it is a very local issue or a more broad issue

Hi All,

I am a contractor within financial services, looking to buy a home solo and wondering if my contract status will prevent me.

I was previously continously employed but switched to contracting last year. Previously owned my last home for 8 years before selling 4 years ago. Market has changed a lot since I last bought and sold.

Current contract due to end in August, on £115k for the contract, will look to secure next contract soon. Have a 40% deposit, looking to buy £650k home. No debts, dependents and a good credit history.

Any advice and tips on how to increase chances of getting a mortgage welcome
