Any leads for new grads?

Graduated this month but have been applying for jobs since April. I know many others have been searching for jobs for longer, but I’m already feeling my defeated by all the rejections. I finished preceptorship in May and I’m already missing seeing patients and getting worried I’m going to loose skills. I’ve been actively applying and getting rejected by PeaceHealth SW, Legacy, Providence, Adventist, OHSU, and Kaiser. Any hot tips or words of advice are appreciated!

About me: I have my ASN and no prior healthcare experience but a fair amount of healthcare related volunteer work experience. Dream would be ICU or pediatrics but very open to medsurg or any hospital position. Hoping to find work in Portland/Vancouver area or the Gorge.

Surgery Consult Tomorrow! Advice pls :)

So I am 21 F and was diagnosed a couple months ago with bilateral pincer type FAI, right labral tear, and grade 1 and 2 chondral thinning bilaterally. I perused care due to chronic but not consistent hip pain for the last 6 years. I definitely was not expecting this serious of a diagnosis with treatment options this “extreme”. Not actively pursuing surgery now, but it seems like at some point (as damage progresses) it may be the right option for me to stay as active as I want to. I am meeting tomorrow to get an opinion on if a more conservative surgery may be effective or if bilateral hip replacements are in my future. And just generally get a surgeon’s opinion on everything I’ve got going on.

What questions should I be sure to ask?

Thank you so much, this is very overwhelming and discouraging.

This is the surgery btw: https://www.providence.org/doctors/orthopedic-surgery/or/lake-oswego/charles-petit-1356332720

Anyone have Recs for Casual Travel Point and Shoot?

(1) Budget, country, and currency

$300 us, expecting to buy used.

(2) What equipment, if any, you have now and why is it no longer meeting your needs?

Have a Nikon D3000 and my grandpas old Kodak film camera. Love both but want something more portable and to be able to see the photos and get them onto my photos quickly.

(3) What kinds of subjects do you intend to shoot?

Travel memories

(4) Is it primarily for photography, videography, or both?

Primarily photos but want video capability.

More detail:

I’m looking for a digital point and shoot to take in my pocket or a small fanny pack on some upcoming trips abroad. Not a professional photographer but do enjoy taking pics.

Looking for good (doesn’t have to be amazing) quality, and rich colors without editing. Would also like video capabilities and a flash.

I feel like “digicams” are very trendy on socials right now. It’s hard to know what recommendations are trustworthy but I’ve seen these thrown around a lot.

Sony cyber shot

Nikon cool pix

Kodak Pixpro

Ricoh GR IIIX

Cannon power shot g7x

LUMIX DMC TZ4

Fujifilm
