I just finished the book and I know this is a weird thing to be fixated on, but it seemed like every other sentence began, “I guess…” which was used in a way that we wouldn’t today. For example, Jake Spoon aggressively saying to Lorie something like “I guess you’ll go where I tell you to go”. I assume it really was a common phrase in that period, and was maybe closer to how we would say “I think” or maybe even “I’m guessing”. Did anyone else notice this or have any thoughts?
Not being critical of really any of the moves MSL has made and I get the decision to take him out but I haven’t heard his name mentioned barely at all. Like if Veleno and Gally are each options, why not Kapanen? Is he just done for the playoffs?
I already have both kinds of registered accounts with Wealthsimple, but I also have both accounts with IBKR. I’m tempted to take advantage of the 3% match offer and move everything over to Wealthsimple. Is there any real reason not to? I know IBKR lets you do more but other than some call options and covered calls, I’m really not doing much other than buying ETFs and some individual stocks.
