Replacement dentures; unsure..
I had my previous dentures for almost 15 years. I should have replaced it years ago but fear of the dentist (yes, still) and shame about having dentures/others finding out have kept me from getting treatment until last month when one of the front teeth on my old upper became loose and I knew I couldn't wait any longer.
My new upper is SO different than my last one. I understand that change to my bite and my bone structure play a big part, but the teeth look SO small from this angle and my old pair were much more pronounced. I went to Affordable Dentures and I think I should have probably taken more time to look at the wax try-in before signing off because I've been panicked since the final was delivered last week, but I was also so panicked about waiting any longer and having my old denture tooth falling out and dealing with the anxiety from that. I do LOVE the way they look in and my smile is so much brighter and better with the new denture in compared to my very old and worn one. My midline is still slightly off because of my natural teeth on the bottom being off but it's an improvement over the last set, as well, since my jaw has changed so much since I had them done originally.
Is this normal? Do they look too small from behind? (Don't worry, I had them fix the imperfections seen on the palate in the pic). I just need to be sure before I go back in for my adjustment this week.
