Surgerys a lot more crazy than i thought

Im getting surgery on the 15th and i was told vauge details when they decided surgery was best but then told at my pre op yesterday that theres a lot more than that, the next part is copy pasted directly from my doctors notes: left foot correction consisting of a double calcaneal osteotomy, Kidner type procedure, first tarsometatarsal joint fusion and a gastrocnemius lengthening

This has been very scary to me and i have to get bone marrow aspirated? Can anyone give me any ideas on what might help or maybe tell me their story?

Surgery... Tips? Tricks? What do i need to know? What do i need?

I am getting scheduled for surgery and getting the date by the start of next month most likely. I am ANXIOUS like overly anxious and cannot do anything right now waiting for that date. Distract me. What should i know? What do i need to get? What activities are best for the first few months? Do i need a ramp? For context, i am having my heel bone moved back in place as it is not in line with my tibia anymore and is tilted left enough for me to clearly see on X rays. I am getting my toes moved so they are straight again as they have also tilted left, they are lengthening my calf muscle to help my post tibial tendon, and im sure theyll have to do something about my achillies tendon aswell as it has gotten very tight aswell. I was told 2 months non weight bearing and another month in a boot, most likely wont feel better for 8-9 months. Please tell me literally anything what to expect what i should purchase what activities are good for after, when i should start trying to do walks to strengthen the muscles in my leg, ect.

Whats something youve learned about whats wrong with your foot that made you go "well shit"

I looked up what it meant when my heel wasnt in line with my tibia today and it made me realize why surgery is definitely important, after looking this up i learned basically my shin has no support and later on it could cause pain in my knees, hips, and spine 😬 i am scheduled for surgery but this shocked me lol. Anyone else have something that shocked them that they were told? I have more if people want them by the way

Getting surgery

Hello all! I come to update on my situation that i am getting surgery scheduled to fix my ankle. My toe and feet bones are going to have to be moved to the right as theyve tilted left significantly, my calf muscle will be lengthened, my heel will be cut and place back in the correct spot, and i think there was something else aswell but i cant remember. But basically i was told ill be off my foot non weight bearing for 2 months and then in a boot for another month. Any tips? Warnings? Info i should keep on mind? Tell me how it went if you had surgery.

What do you do to help?

I have Progressive Collapsing Foot Deformity (PCFD) , tendonitis of my post tibial tendon and my Achilles tendon, aswell as partial tear/deterioration near the bone of my post tibial tendon, and as of i belive march my heel has started to tilt towards the left. I lost insurance shortly after my last visit and have no way of going to get it checked. As my last cortisone shot is wearing off im in a lot of pain, what do you all do to help with the pain? Ice doesnt help me, i think heat might help? I have a lace up brace the doctors gave me when i first went for the issue, but i have to wear socks under so it doesnt hurt as my inner ankle bone rubs against the brace and hurts (maybe because of my heel tilting left now?) But honestly, overall i just need an idea of how to help.
