Why does the far right seem so much more popular than the far left

The “regular” left & the “regular” right are equally as popular, social democrats/demsocs & conservatives, but marxism, socialism, communism, social anarchism, aka the “far left” seem much less popular & widespread than the far right does, maybe the far right is more diverse & moderate rightists looking to explore more right wing alternatives to their current ideology have way more to choose from? Sure there are 100 types of Marxism but the far left only really has anarchism & marxism, & the 100 types of marxism seem more similar than distinct to outsiders, maybe communalism could be an extra addition, distinct from the two, but from what i’ve seen people consider that a more moderate Anarchism/anarchist adjacent

What’s wrong with idealism?

Something you see from the marxists is a very fierce opposition to idealism, & an accusation that Anarchists are idealists, but what’s wrong with that? Everything we do is influenced by certain ideas, they are the basis of human culture & influence every part of our perception, ideas/human will + random outside events drive history, if christian ideas never existed western civilization would be very different, 30% of India is vegetarian because vegetarian ethical ideas just got popular over there, the “reality” we experience is a construction of our brains/our consciousness, a bee or a squid experiences a very different “reality”

Are there any Anarchist writers who are influenced by Idealism?

Anti-industrial social anarchism

Does anti-industrial social anarchy exist? Anti-industrial positions are associated with post-leftism/individualism, but theoretically one could be social anarchist & opposed to industry, social anarchism is based on mutual solidarity/mutual aid & social revolution, none of that is in theory contrary to deindustrialist/anti-industrial views

I’m opposed to pesticide usage, the way I view it Anarchy means liberation & autonomy for all life, this is incompatible with the existence of pesticides, I thought this was a universal position among all Anarchists, until last year when I saw a post accusing “Anti-civs” of wanting mass starvation for being against pesticides, what are the general thoughts of Anarchists here on pesticide usage?

I know Anarcho-pacifists ethically oppose all violence against people, viewing violent revolution as having strong potential to lead to hierarchal society but would an Anarcho-pacifist oppose burning down a weapons factory, knowing 100% sure that nobody would get hurt?
