Two 2BHK Flats in 55’ × 32’ Space — Need Layout Suggestions

Two 2BHK Flats in 55’ × 32’ Space — Need Layout Suggestions

I have an empty first-floor hall measuring 55 ft × 32 ft that is currently unused and generating no income. I’m planning to convert it into two rental flats and would really appreciate help with the floor plan.

Plot Dimensions:

- 55 ft × 32 ft

- 55 ft on the left and right sides

- 32 ft on the top and bottom sides

- Tall rectangular layout

Site Constraints:

- The entire left 55 ft side is blocked by another building, so there can be no windows on that side.

- The top, right, and bottom sides are open.

Existing Entry:

- The staircase opens onto the first floor near the bottom-left corner of the hall.

- I’d prefer to keep the staircase and entry in the same location.

Goal:

Convert this empty hall into two comfortable flats that can be rented out.

Desired Rooms in Each Flat:

- Living room

- Dining room

- Kitchen

- 2 bedrooms

- 1 common bathroom between the two bedrooms

- 1 additional bathroom near the living/dining area (if possible)

Preferred Flow (if possible):

Living Room → Dining Room → Kitchen → Bedroom 1 → Common Bathroom → Bedroom 2

Main Concerns:

- Proper cross ventilation

- Good natural light

- Efficient use of space

- Practical room sizes

Sketch Notes:

- The purple line represents the 55 ft side that is completely blocked by another building.

- The green line on the left represents the existing staircase/entry area.

- The two additional green lines show where the entrances to the two flats need to begin, since a narrow hall comes from the staircase and reaches that point.

- This arrangement works well because the left side is blocked anyway.

I’m attaching a simple sketch showing the plot orientation and blocked side.

Any suggestions on the best way to design this space would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Uneven eyebrows

I’m a guy, and my right eyebrow is thicker, more curved, and has a much more defined arch. I honestly like the way it looks a lot more. My left eyebrow is thinner, noticeably straighter, and barely has an arch.

My left eyebrow definitely has a cowlick, which makes the hairs grow in a different direction and adds to the asymmetry. Using brow soap does help flatten the cowlick, especially at the head of the eyebrow, but it leaves the area looking white, dry, and flaky, which looks weird.

I started applying castor oil about a week ago, but it seems to have caused acne around that area.

Should I stop using castor oil? And what’s the best way to make my left eyebrow look more like my right one so both eyebrows appear more symmetrical? I’m a guy, so I’m not looking to use brow pencils or makeup.
