Did Namit Malhotra Really Acquire Ramayana's Rights for ₹80 Crore?

According to reports, Madhu Mantena received around ₹80 crore as part of a settlement related to the Ramayana film project after a dispute over the film's IP rights.

If that's accurate, does that mean Namit Malhotra effectively gained full control of the project for ₹80 crore? Considering Ramayana is now being developed as a massive two-part film with a reported ₹4,000 crore budget, DNEG, Atlas Entertainment, Hans Zimmer, A.R. Rahman, and a star-studded cast attached, it sounds like an incredible deal in hindsight.

Am I missing something here? Was the ₹80 crore simply compensation for Mantena's stake and development work, or did Namit actually acquire the core rights to the project through that settlement?

Brahma AI’s Vaani Tech Demo – The System Behind Ramayana’s Global Dubbing Plan

As a follow-up to the earlier post about Ramayana being dubbed visually and vocally into multiple foreign languages, here’s something that was uploaded on Brahma AI’s official website a while back.

They showcased Vaani video localisation, their tech that handles automated lip-sync, facial alignment, and emotion matching for dubbed languages. This is the same system expected to help Ramayana release in dozens of global languages with near-native visual sync.

How well do you think this AI-driven localisation will hold up in a full-length film?
