Why do some people say “you follow Paul’s teachings not Jesus”

I’m trying to get into Christianity and I keep seeing this brought up a lot in arguments. They say Paul invented teachings or even undermined teachings Jesus said and we follow these more than Jesus actual words. Anyone know of any examples or rebuttals to this? I’ve read all of acts and the epistles and can’t think of any on my own, in fact it seems Paul was pretty adamant of getting the apostles opinion on his teachings to make sure they aligned with their original own. Ty ahead of time for answers and pray for me as I’m in the hospital after a major surgery if you could (agnostic 31 m)

Got invited to a clinical trial and will be participating

I’ve failed so many meds. Pentasa, imuran, humira, entivio, remicade, and rinvoq. I figure if I can help others with my results even if it doesn’t help me necessarily, it’s a good thing. Plus, if I get placebo it’s basically the same as now since my rinvoq isn’t helping anyways. Anyone have good experiences with a trial though? Or bad? Just curious how many actually have participated and gotten results.

Thought this was interesting. I completed the first one before they updated it like a decade ago and just finished the newest versions.
