I have GERD, and I suspect Xywav's triggering it. Though never dry heaving or coughing furiously, my once near-subsided, mild/abrupt coughing returned since starting Xywav, and my right ear has since started filling with a plugging sensation often. If Xywav's sucralose, as one commenter I read online suggested, could arouse GERD, how might Xyrem fare? Can anyone here with GERD, and who's tried both, speak on this? Thank you.

(also, famotidine just doesn't work for me)

Therapy:

-kept me grounded to time when isolation, day-to-day uniformity, a sleep disorder's lethargy and cognitive impairment, and the rhythms of navigating the U.S. medical system otherwise conditioned my perception.

-enforces a system of accountability that can prevent deeper spirals when a new, sudden development threatens to cage you.

-enables you to more lucidly navigate slow-emerging life changes that offer fleeting chances. don't let your life's speed or frequency of deadlocks warp your view of this.

-can involve real camaraderie its involved transactions never make "superficial." don't let your desperate loneliness, your hunger for a friend abundant in shared interests and available for small-talk anytime, warp your view of this.

this post might preach to the choir (and i don't mean to convert anyone who's faced clinical malpractice), but i would have needed these reminders before i lost my mind and fucked everything up for myself. feel free to add similar revelations about therapy.
