Why has no one solved the unemployment crisis yet?

Job candidates lose thousands of hours every year looking for jobs.

In any given country there are millions of unemployed right now.

I don't know about you, but this seems like the next trillion dollar opportunity here that no one has found a solution for yet?

AI has killed off worker bargaining power and UBI isn't going to happen

Historically, corporations and billionaires outsourced (and still do) their operations to drive costs down and increase profits. But now, when any kind of work can be done by AI, it simply drives the cost of labor down even further. IMHO this creates a situation where there is no point in outsourcing or immigration anymore because AI can now fill that gap. Workers worldwide have lost their bargaining power because decades of experience can now be replaced with a chatbot.

The market just hasn't caught up to this reality yet and people are still pretending everything is normal. Worse, they are wrongly assuming that Jevons paradox applies here.

Put it this way, if cows suddenly became super intelligent, what exactly do you think is going to happen next after all what we've done to them?
