AC

Hi everybody, I'm getting ready to start AC next week for TNBC just curious about what effect it has on the body. I've completed 12 weekly rounds of taxol and carboplatin and I did pretty well on it. I continued to work the whole time on it. I'm a teacher and curious to know if the red angel (AC) would be manageable on my body as well.

Can't believe this is my life right now

Hi everybody, just wanted to say that I've had a rough two years. I never anticipated my life looking like this right now. I got married in July 2024, found out I was pregnant with twins two months later however, I had to terminate the pregnancy because one sac was not viable and the other we just never got a heartbeat. I thought that was the worse news ever until 2026 rolled in and I found a lump in my breast. I went to the doctor and initially she stated it felt like an abscess. I huge relief came over me with those words however she scheduled me for an ultrasound to be on the safe side. Ultrasound revealed a large solid mass however the tech couldn't say for sure if it was fibroadenoma or worse case scenario cancer, so scheduled me for a mammogram. Low and below results revealed highly suspicious of malignancy. That's when all anxiety kicked in. I thought losing my mother to this disease was hard, but hearing those words attached to my name almost took me completely out. I did the biopsy and it confirmed cancer, however results were initially confirming DCIS. That diagnosis took a tad relief off of me because I was like oh we caught it really early, however due to the size of my lump at the time over 9cm it was sent for further testing. TNBC was my final outcome. The worse type of breadt cancer they say you can have. I've cried sooooo much over these past few months. I've lost weight because of worrying if I'm going to live or die. I've reminisced on my mother's experience with breast cancer that only added to my fret and worry. I hate being in this position. My pressure and heart rate still elevate every time I go for My weekly treatments and I'm currently on week 8 of 12 of taxol and carboplatin. It's like I just can't be ok with having cancer. A plus side to this is the nurses are so extremely nice and compassionate at my oncology center. This group has truly been heaven sent. I can't say how many times I've found peace and hope reading the stories of survivors and imagining my life 20 years from now living and thriving still cancer free. I must say that my treatment has been working as my lump has Strunk tremendously. I want to say that while this is not the club that we want to be in never give up hope and never stop being an encouragement through your experience with this disease. I am all the way in The Bahamas and so many survivors from all over the world has been the hope that I have been clinging on to as I continue to fight this battle.
