Age of piracy- what caused the end?
Been playing assassins creed black flag recently (not historically accurate I know) but it got me thinking, what actually ended the age of piracy?
And the pirates who made money, were they able to just blend back into society back in England, France, Spain etc or did they have to remain in the Caribbean?
Might be a silly question, but is there any books about how the pirates coped with day to day life? I’ve been to the Caribbean and it’s hot and humid, could not imagine having to raid on top of that heat lol.
