Some tender loving male “aggression”

These two plus a female have been together for 5+ years.

They sometimes even pin each other to the ground for a couple seconds just to show who’s the dominant one. The more yellow one

Someone mentioned a few weeks back that Galacs love to soak their butts in water. That’s very true.

These guys line up for a soak in a half coconut shelf that always have some water during their “wet season”.

Never seen them doing the pinning in the water and they’re my only only darts that I intentionally supply water source to

Longtime Basti keepers / breeders, Pumilio connoisseurs. I need your help and opinion please

Been in the hobby since 1997 (mantellas) and kept darts since 2008.

Last year finally pulled the trigger and I got into keeping pumilios. My cemetery basti pair - gold dust male and orange female had produced 4 froglets about 7 weeks ago

Two of them dark red for now and two of them has the body orange and all four legs completely white

Being in the hobby for many years I was able to reach out to many who have kept and bred bastis for decades but no one had confirmed that they have seen bastis with full white legs

Can anyone here help and give me some feedback or maybe reach out to ones that been around, kept them, and maybe confirm they do exist in the hobby.

I’ll be real (and ready for the possible backlash) I wouldn’t mind being the first with this “line” and maybe write my name in the hobby and start a breeding project 🫣

Here is a link for better reference. Thanks

Edit: I took the liberty and coined the “variant” ‘pata blanca’ white leg in Spanish, which I’ll drop immediately if someone confirms they exist, it’s unethical or I’m not qualified to name a “variant”

Edit 2: Yes, I do know that bastis are incredibly polymorphic and this can happen - as you can see in the post it did. What I’m looking to find out is if anyone has seen them or known of them existing in the hobby.

Besides the broms and some of the mini ferns all plants are cuttings from others.

More marcgravias, moss, and liverwort will be transplanted once humidity stabilizes

Inhabitants will come in July
