How to raise mood?

Recently I often find myself in negative thinking patterns, especially at night. So I've been wondering how to raise my mood more and increase dopamine.

The things that reliably seem to work for me in this regard are exercise and coffee but I can't overdo them, especially at night.

What are your experiences?

Coffee before bed

I couldn't really verify this quote but apparently Ray Peat mentioned drinking coffee before bed as potentially being benificial for sleep. Bioenergetic/Peaty YouTuber Aleks Fidurski also mentioned it several times in his videos.

I've noticed that coffee with milk and sugar makes me very relaxed, so I'm inclined to try it out before bed.

Has anyone here tried it out?

High sugar intake to combat environmental stress and lower cortisol

I'm starting to suspect I have elevated cortisol due to environmental stress like work, isolation, EMF, air pollution etc. mainly because I notice that my sleep is better when I'm staying over at my parents in my hometown compared to my place in a big city that I now live in.

Could a high sugar intake (something like 200g per day) balance it out and lower cortisol?

How are low fat diets (<40g) sustainable for men?

I'm looking into low fat diets atm and I frequently see guys talking about eating basically little to no fat.

I get that it's good to improve liver health and insulin sensitivity but wouldn't it nuke your testosterone and speedrun erectile dysfunction? Or is my understanding wrong?

I tore my right upper pec and tendon recently while doing decline bench press. Not a full tear, just some muscle fibres but still quite painful. I'm not sure how to describe it exactly in English.

Normally it's supposed to heal in two months but for me it's now more than two months and I still can't work out my chest without pain. My right pec also still feels more stiff and hard. I assume it's going to take longer for me because my tendon was also a bit torn.

I was wondering if anyone here maybe knows how to heal an injury like this faster in terms of diet/supplements and maybe topical treatment. I've tried using magnesium oil on the area but didn't really notice a difference

I've been struggling with insomnia for a while. I'm at a point now where I can fall asleep relatively easily but my sleep doesn't feel very regenerating. I wake up frequently, I always have very vivid dreams, ed issues, frequent urination and I can't sleep in. I always wake up around the same time in the morning which I assume is due to cortisol.

What could be the cause of this or what I could I do to improve my sleep quality?

Also both my blood sugar and blood pressure are elevated. My morning blood sugar is currently always 100-110 and my resting blood pressure is usually around 140/75.

For a while I was also extremely sensitive to salt. When I ate it I couldn't sleep because my body was too warm and my BP was too high. Luckily that has improved now and I can eat salt again without an issue but it still makes me think that maybe there was and still is some problem with my kidneys or adrenals.
