Barrington Levy has now cancelled on me so many times I’m starting to think Don’t Give Up was actually a personal instruction rather than a song title.
Attempt 1: August 2025 scenic campervan mission to Glasgow, gig cancelled after arrival.
Attempt 2: May 2026 rearranged date, cancelled before setting off.
Attempt 3: Glasgow got re-arranged for the only day this month I couldn’t attend
Attempt 4: May 2026, Newcastle, cancelled.
Attempt 5: May 2026 rearranged Newcastle date cancelled again.
Tonight is attempt 6
At this point I’m not attending a concert, I’m participating in a long-term spiritual endurance exercise.
