It's just a bit of a flavour-mismatch to me that the 'impossible' suit of armor has no interaction specifically with shields (no shield feats or bonuses like Thamaturge's Shield Implement) yet relies on them to tank.

I don't even think I hate Inventor as this point, I'm genuinely just confused with this class's design. For instance:

• Why is Overdrive Ally so much worse than Share Rage? Isn't getting to add your full INT modifier if you're in Critical Overdrive balanced out by the randomness involved in getting Critical Overdrive in the first place? Does Overdrive Ally giving one more damage at 20th Level enough to warrant it having a 10th of Share Rage's duration? Sure you can use it multiple times but Inventor doesn't have much, if any, action compression unless you're a Construct Inventor.
• Disruptive Stance gets Distracting Explosion's Unstable effect just for being in the stance. Is Unstable equivalent to one Fighter stance? A 10 minute cooldown? Why is Unstable so inconsistent in its power?
• Lack of gun support despite being in Guns & Gears
• Oil Fire. Why would you use Oil Fire over Explode. I don't even like Explode that much but goodness gracious the difference in damage. Oil Fire may be one action but it requires setup with a grab that it cancels if the target succeeds their Reflex save.
• Why is there a Crafting check on all of its class features. I understand Inventor is the tinkerer, 'crafter' class, but why does the day of downtime retrain also require a Hard Crafting check, it's feels like they slapped on a check for the sake of it.

I understand the level of power pre-remaster was less than it is now, but that just goes back to the remaster not doing enough for Inventor.

I should also clarify that I don't think anyone who likes Inventor is 'wrong'. What someone finds fun depends on the person. You can not have fun with a mechanically good class, and you can have fun with a mechanically bad class.
I just do not like the way Inventor was designed.

I keep seeing people posting about it here, and some of those posts were from me, but I've never heard about this class and I can't find it anywhere?

Gadgets should've been some sort of class feature

mfw when the glass cannon doesn't cannon so it's just glass

Pretty sure Thaumaturge and Exemplar either out-damage or at minimum match Inventor in terms of damage output as well, among other advantages

Risk and Reward? Inventor just gives you the risk part

it’s all the intelligence classes that are actually fun to play or at least more than inventor is (which isn’t a high bar)

I have a bunch of Inventor hate memes stocked up

Played Ultron for 10 quick-play games straight and I'm pretty consistently getting the highest or second-highest amount of healing but my damage seems a bit lackluster. I'm really like Ultron so far (not having to deal with a lot of poke nowadays is very nice) but would I be better off playing a strategist like Luna or Invis since I'm not making too much use of Ultron's damage?
