Gestational HTN at 27 weeks
Hi all, i’m currently 27+6 with my first pregnancy. A few days ago I was told to go to L&D triage where they treated me for a blood pressure of 158/99. My labs were clean, but there’s a lot of discussion about inducing me around 37 weeks. I’m worried about my current job, as it is high stress. I’m wondering if any one has experience and when people stopped working in situations like these. I unfortunately work in a place that’s not very welcoming of my pregnancy and highly unlikely to be kind about accommodations (obviously it is illegal to not provide them, but it adds to the stress when they have an attitude about it). My sister and mom both had preeclampsia with their pregnancies and I was diagnosed with gestational HTN way early - around 13 weeks. Any advice on how others handled this would be great.
