Solar + EV charger options
Getting quotes in Melbourne for a 9.5kW solar system, inverter + EV charger. House is completely electric and are now using 35-40kW a day since getting the EV. WFH 2 days a week so can charge the EV during the day
Would like to get a smart EV charger that integrates with the solar system to direct any excess towards charging the EV. Does that mean that I should be aiming to keep the inverter and EV charger the same brand?
Current quote for Jinko 9.5kW panels, Goodwe EHB 10kW inverter and Goodwe 7kW AC EV charger is 10k (after STC, not eligible for Vic rebate). Would it be worth getting quotes for Fox, or is it not possible to get the EV charger to integrate with solar in the same way?
Battery would be ideal but not sure if the payback makes sense for us currently and seems to almost double our quote amount. Potentially cheaper if I get prices for a Fox system.
