Tips for getting a job in this horrible job market?

I'm 18, in university (psych) and have never had a job. I have experience in customer service with volunteering and I'm going to start volunteering in an office environment soon to try and get some more experience. I'm also thinking of maybe applying to volunteering with CCI, because I know someone that works in immigration and that may help in the future? I don't have many people I can ask to help get a job since a) their job is specialized or b) in a very different field like STEM. I'm going to try asking my friends for help, but until then any suggestions?

I'm open to anything rn. I have applied to retail, food, summer camps and supermarkets near me, but nothing. I have resumes tailored to certain industries and apply with those. I've sent almost 30-50 applications (which is not a lot in current times).

Good luck to everyone else that is searching for a job right now. Hopefully the market gets better. 🙏
