+$11,227 realized this week (+6.38%) selling premium and taking profits on MU and CEG

+$11,227 realized this week (+6.38%) selling premium and taking profits on MU and CEG

Week of Oct 5 to Oct 9, realized per Robinhood:

$MU shares +$5,185
$CEG shares +$2,907
$MU calls +$3,130
$VRT put +$5

Total +$11,227 (+6.38%)

The plan: sell cash secured puts on names I'm happy to own, sell calls against shares, take profits when they hit the target, free the collateral and repeat. I have puts open on CEG and VRT expiring Oct 16.

Happy to answer questions on how I size and manage these. Back at it Monday.

+$10.8K Realized in September So Far 🔥

September has been a solid month. I’m currently at +$10,890.91 in realized profit from closed trades only — not counting any unrealized gains or open positions.

Some of the closed trades:

- MU shares: +$3,883.91
- MU $1,100 Call (2/19/27): +$2,640
- Additional MU option premium / closed trades throughout the month

I did take some “L’s ” biggest was on a roll up because I panicked like a little “BITCH” should’ve stuck to my guns let me get assigned!!

Here they are for my naysayers…

- MU $975 call: -$260
- MU $1,010 call (9/18): -$2,367
- HOOD $110 put: -$6

A few smaller losses along the way, which are already included in the $10,890.91 net realized total.

My focus has been pretty simple: take profits, harvest option premium, cut/reposition when necessary, and keep compounding the account.

Not every trade wins, and I’m not trying to pretend it does. I’m focused on what the account looks like after the winners AND losers are counted.

📈 **September realized P&L: +$10,890.**91

Harvested ~$4.4K in MU covered-call premium this morning (Finally)

Been running covered calls against 300 shares of MU and finally got the pullback I was waiting for.

This morning I bought back three short calls:

  • MU 9/14 $1,010 CC — sold at $25.05, bought back at $11.70 → ~$1,335 gross profit
  • MU 10/16 $1,100 CC — sold at $53.04, bought back at $41.86 → ~$1,118 gross profit
  • MU 2/19/27 $1,200 CC — sold at $122.03, bought back at $102.53 → ~$1,950 gross profit

Total premium harvested: roughly $4,403 before fees.

The bigger win for me is that all 300 MU shares are uncovered again, so I can wait for another strong move/IV expansion and sell calls again instead of sitting through the full expiration cycle.

I originally had much larger harvest targets on the longer-dated calls, but MU finally started slipping and I decided to bank the profit rather than get greedy. The 9/14 was also getting close enough to expiration that I preferred taking the win and clearing the obligation.

I take quick premium when the market gives it to me—I’ll harvest 15–25% fast on longer-dated covered calls, push for 50%+ when the setup keeps working, and close aggressively when theta and a pullback line up in my favor.

This is for informational and educational purposes only and is not intended as financial advice.

August MTD Update — $12,547.73 Realized Through 8/27

August MTD Update — $12,547.73 Realized Through 8/27

Posting this mainly to document the journey and keep myself accountable. Not financial advice — just sharing what I’m doing and what’s working for me.

August so far:

  • $12,547.73 realized profit
  • 9 green trading days
  • Mostly covered calls / premium harvesting
  • A few stock trades mixed in
  • Multiple tickers, but MU has done most of the heavy lifting
  • I’m generally buying calls back once I’ve captured enough premium instead of waiting for expiration

A few of the bigger realized wins:

Aug 24–27: +$6,689
Aug 19: +$745
Aug 14: +$58
Aug 12: +$480
Aug 11: +$1,444
Aug 10: +$1,113.40
Aug 6: +$424
Aug 4: +$1,110.33
Aug 3: +$484

Total: $12,547.73 realized

The strategy has been pretty simple: sell calls against shares I already own, let volatility work in my favor, harvest the premium when I get a decent move, free the shares up, and redeploy.

I’m not trying to squeeze every last dollar out of every contract. I’d rather consistently take 25–50%+ of the premium when the opportunity is there and keep the capital moving.

Still refining it. Still tracking everything. Still learning.

Process > predictions.

And yes, there’s a little red bar in there 😂

I took a -$38 loss because I broke one of my own rules and rolled a position up when I shouldn’t have.

Nothing catastrophic. Just a good reminder that the rules only work when you actually follow them.

I could easily leave the $38 out and just post the green trades, but that defeats the whole reason I’m documenting this.

One dumb-a$$ -$38 reminder included. 😂

Still learning. Still refining. Still executing.

Process > ego. Follow the damn rules.

Options involve substantial risk. These are my personal results only and are not financial advice.

$12,547.73 Realized in August So Far — Mostly Covered Call Harvesting

Post:
August MTD update through 8/27.

Realized P&L: +$12,547.73

This month has mostly been covered calls on positions I already own, especially MU, with a few TSLA/SPCX trades mixed in.

My approach has been pretty simple: sell premium, let time/volatility work, buy the calls back once I’ve captured enough of the premium, free the shares up, and redeploy.

A few of the better harvests this month:

  • MU $1,010C — +55.96%
  • SPCX $180C — +39.93%
  • MU $1,015C — +30.06%
  • MU $970C — +29.86%
  • MU $1,200C — +20.85%
  • MU $1,020C — +19.17%

This past week alone was +$6,689 realized.

I’m not trying to squeeze 100% out of every contract. If I can capture a meaningful part of the premium, reduce risk, and recycle the capital, I’m good with that.

Still tracking everything and refining the process. One good month doesn’t prove a strategy, so the goal is consistency over a much larger sample size.

Not financial advice. Not recommending any of these trades. Just documenting my own results, process, wins and mistakes. Options involve significant risk and these results are not guaranteed or necessarily repeatable.

+$6,689 Realized This Week — Mostly MU Covered Calls

Weekly recap. $6,689 realized profit over the past week, mostly harvesting Micron covered calls.

Closed trades:

  • MU $1,500C 9/17/27 — +$934 | 7.21%
  • MU $1,050C 1/15/27 — +$1,047 | 8.77%
  • MU $1,020C 9/18 — +$563 | 19.17%
  • MU $1,015C 10/2 — +$1,880 | 30.06%
  • MU $1,200C 11/20 — +$1,185 | 20.85%
  • MU $1,010C 9/2 — +$1,080 | 55.96%

Total realized: $6,689

Same basic approach I’ve been working on: sell calls against shares I already own, take advantage of premium/volatility, and buy them back when enough of the premium has been harvested rather than automatically holding until expiration.

Some I harvested early at 7–9%, others I let work into the 20–30% range, and one hit almost 56%. The goal for me isn’t squeezing every dollar out of every contract. It’s realizing profit, freeing the shares back up, and looking for the next opportunity.

Still refining the system and tracking everything. Good week, but one week doesn’t prove anything. Consistency over a much larger sample is what matters.

Not financial or trading advice. Just documenting my own trades and results. Options involve risk, and these results obviously aren’t guaranteed or necessarily repeatable.

MU COVERED CALL HARVEST — UPDATE 📈

MU COVERED CALL HARVEST — UPDATE 📈
Took advantage of MU’s weakness today to buy back all three covered calls and lock in the premium.

$1,010 Call 9/2
Sold: $1,930
Bought back: $850
Realized: +$1,080

$1,200 Call 11/20
Sold: $5,685
Bought back: $4,500
Realized: +$1,185

$1,015 Call 10/2 — UPDATE
Sold: $6,255
Bought back: $4,375
Realized: +$1,880
TOTAL REALIZED: +$4,145 💰

The goal wasn’t to sell MU. The goal was to monetize the shares while I held them.
I sold calls when the premium was rich, waited for MU to pull back, then bought those calls back cheaper and kept the difference.

Now the short calls are gone, the shares are free again, and I can wait for the next opportunity to sell premium.

Own the shares. Sell the premium. Harvest the decay. Reset. Repeat.

August MTD: +$5,812 Realized | 10 Wins, 1 Loss

August so far:

💰 Realized P&L: +$5,812.73
✅ 10 winners / 1 loser
📈 90.9% win rate

Still sticking to the same basic approach: mostly harvesting premium, taking profits when they’re there, and redeploying instead of trying to squeeze every dollar out of a trade.

Biggest realized win so far was +$1,444 on MU.
Only loss was -$46.

Nothing flashy. My loss was due to not sticking to my rules and panicked like a little bit!ch.

The goal isn’t to collect the most premium. My goal is harvest within 24-72 hours always above my Cost Basis. I typically go out 28-90 Days of Exp

If I can lock in 25–30% consistently, redeploy the capital, and do it over and over, I’ll let compounding do the heavy lifting instead of hoping contracts expire worthless. (Moneyball)

I’m posting these updates every few days to keep myself honest.

Consistency Over Home Runs: $25K Realized in July

Wrapped up July with $25,338 in realized gains.

25 closed trades
20 winners / 5 losers
80% win rate
Most of my trades were in $MU, $TSLA, $NVDA, $APP, and $HOOD.

It wasn’t a perfect month. I took a -$2,270 loss on $APP, but I didn’t let one trade turn into a bigger problem. That’s probably the biggest thing I’ve learned this year; take the loss, move on, and focus on the next high-probability setup.

A lot of the gains came from sticking to the same names over and over instead of chasing whatever was trending that day. I’m trying to get really good at trading a handful of stocks instead of knowing a little about hundreds of them.

(I’m not going to lie and say the $MU dive was not nerve wrecking)

I’m not posting this to flex. I’m posting it because I like documenting the journey, and I know there are traders here with way more experience than me.

If you see something I could improve risk management, entries, exits, position sizing, whatever; I’d genuinely appreciate the feedback.

Again; I’m always trying to get better.

Not financial advice. Just sharing my month and what I’m learning along the way.

They Called It a Bloodbath. I Called My Mentor.

I’m on vacation in Banff, Canada, trying to enjoy the mountains, while watching my account go from roughly $245K to around $125K.

Not gonna lie… it sucked.

My biggest position is Micron (MU). My average cost is around $945/share, and at one point MU traded all the way down into the mid $700s intraday. Seeing that kind of unrealized loss isn’t something they teach you how to stomach.

Yesterday at 5:44 PM MT, I texted my mentor.

I asked if investors would even come back after the beating the chip sector took.

The response was simple:

“I would. I spent over $4M on MU.”

“The market is in capitulation… it throws a tantrum, but it will bounce back sooner or later just like nothing happened.”

That message was enough for me to stop staring at my phone every five minutes and actually get some sleep.

Before bed I checked the after-hours action. Samsung had turned green and SK Hynix wasn’t getting destroyed the way it had been earlier. It wasn’t proof that MU would recover, but it was enough to tell me the panic might be easing.

I woke up to green.

By the end of today MU had ripped back into the high $880s, and instead of panic selling, I did what I’ve been trying to train myself to do…

I sold two covered calls.

MU $1,005 Calls
Expiration: August 5
Premium collected: $8.80/share ($880 per contract)

That brought in $1,760 immediately while still giving MU more than another $100 of upside before assignment. (looking to harvest 80-90%)

For me, that was getting back in the saddle.

My takeaway

This market reminded me of something important.

Unrealized losses hurt.

A lot.

But if you still believe in the company and the thesis hasn’t changed, sometimes the hardest thing to do is also the right thing…

Hold your position.

Micron is still the leading U.S. memory manufacturer. AI infrastructure isn’t slowing down, and the demand for high-bandwidth memory and DRAM isn’t disappearing because of two ugly trading sessions.

I’m not saying every stock comes back.

I’m saying don’t let fear make the decision for you.

Sometimes the market throws a tantrum.

Sometimes your job is simply to survive it.

Today was a good reminder that patience can pay and owning your STOCK!

Locked In $5,159.80 and Freed Up My Buying Power 7/28/2026

Everyone talks about making money when the market is ripping higher.

What matters is what you do when the market isn’t cooperating.

Today the market was under pressure, but because I trade The Wheel Strategy, I stayed in control. 7/28/2026

Instead of hoping stocks would bounce, I managed my positions and harvested profits. Think MONEYBALL (RUNNERS ON BASE)

TRADE EXECUTION #1

$APP $385 Short Put (CSP) Lock my money. (8/14 Expiration)

✅ Bought to close early

✅ 24.4% premium harvested

💰 Realized: ≈ $790

🔓 Released buying power for the next opportunity.

TRADE EXECUTION #2

$MU $1,050 Covered Call (1/15/2027 Expiration)

✅ Bought to close early

✅ 25.2% premium harvested

💰 Realized: ≈ $4,370

🔓 Released my 100 MU shares to redeploy when the next setup appears.

📊 Today’s Score

$APP: +$790

$MU Covered Call: +$4,370

Total realized today: ≈ $5,160

📈 July realized profits: ≈ $23,653 (before taxes)

The Moneyball Mindset

Baseball teams don’t win because every hitter hits a home run.

They win by getting runners on base.

Trading is no different.

I don’t need 100% winners. I don’t need to squeeze every last dollar out of every option.

I want to consistently collect 20–30% of the premium (if longer Call or PUT), is weeklies I want to harvest between 50-70%, lock it in, free up buying power, and move on to the next high-probability setup.

That’s how singles become doubles.

Doubles become rallies.

Rallies become profitable months.

The Wheel isn’t about predicting the market. It’s about putting yourself in a position where you can make disciplined decisions regardless of what the market does.

Locked $1,775 on MU and Rolled APP Down $35 to Free Up $3,500 in Collateral

Closed my $MU $1,015 covered call today.

Sold it for $3,900, bought it back for $2,125, so I locked in $1,775 profit and captured about 45.5% of the premium.

( I should've of waited but knew it was a good profit for me... singles, and doubles not swing for the fences).

Also rolled my $APP $420 put down to the $385 strike for Aug. 14. That freed up about $3,500 in collateral and gave me a small $35 credit.

So for today:

$MU realized profit: $1,775

Note: The $APP trade still isn’t fully “won” yet since the new put is open, but I lowered the strike, freed capital, and gave the trade more time.

Rule # 1: Find a Mentor

People always ask, “How much capital is your mentor working with…..

They’re asking the wrong question.

The better question is:

What process is she following?

A mentor of mine just shared two realized profit updates:

$26,648.18 realized.
Later, another $29,142.41 realized.
That’s $55,790.59 in realized profits.

She told me roughly 90% came from selling covered calls on TSLA and flipping MU on swing trades.

The other 10% came from a call option on COP (ConocoPhillips).

That completely changed how I think about trading.

I used to chase the next big winner. Now I focus on capital velocity generating consistent cash flow, redeploying capital, and repeating the process over and over.

The biggest investment I ever made wasn’t in a stock.

It was finding the right mentor.

Not financial advice. Just sharing a lesson that’s changed the way I trade.

$18,493 Realized in July So Far—Treating My Portfolio Like a Cash-Flow Business

UPDATE: $19,727 so far in July, with a current month-end projection of approximately $27,300. (They wont let me show you the screenshot, I hve no effen idea why)

The strategy combines:

  • Covered calls
  • Cash-secured puts
  • Short swing trades

One example was MU: bought 50 shares around $890 and sold around $917, producing approximately $1,350 in realized profit.

My focus is not holding every position indefinitely or trying to squeeze out the maximum possible gain. I look at the portfolio as a cash-flow business.

The shares are inventory.
Option premium is revenue.
Realized gains are additional cash flow.
Capital velocity is what keeps the engine moving.

I prefer holding positions for short periods, realizing gains, freeing the capital, and redeploying it into the next opportunity. The house is the portfolio not any individual stock.

I’m not emotionally attached to the inventory. The objective is to keep capital productive through covered calls, CSPs, and selective swings while controlling risk.

July so far: $18,493.24 realized.
Projected finish: approximately $27,300.

The goal is not to own a stock forever. The goal is to keep the cash-flow engine moving.

July $MU Covered Call Recap: ~$5.5K realized premium + how I built and trimmed the position

July MU Covered Call Recap — the wheel keeps turning 🎡

Been running covered calls on Micron ($MU) all month. Here’s the full month: how I built the position, the premium I’ve booked, the recent trim, and what’s still open.

How I acquired the shares:

  • Jul 13: bought 100 shares @ $923.57
  • Jul 15: bought 50 shares @ $890.31
  • Blended basis landed around ~$968/share

Closed CC round-trips (realized):

  • $1,007.5C 7/10 → rolled to $1,030C 7/13, closed for pennies → +$1,341 net
  • $1,000C 7/15 (x2): sold for $1,755, bought back for $46 → +$1,709
  • $890C 7/17: sold $1,025, closed $35 → +$990
  • $960C 7/24: sold $2,690, closed $1,155 → +$1,535
  • $865C 7/17: sold $1,195, closed $1,280 → −$85 (small L, closed defensively)

Total realized CC premium on MU in July: ~$5,490 💰

Recent stock trim:

  • Sold 50 shares @ $917.35 → $45,867.50 total
  • Against ~$968 blended basis that’s a −$2,544 realized loss on those shares
  • Net of premium + share trim: ~+$2,946 (premium more than covered the stock loss)

Still open:

  • Short $1,015C 7/31 — collected $3,900
  • Short $1,050C 1/15/2027 (LEAP) — collected $17,340

Another ~$21K in premium working, not yet realized.

Takeaway: built the position mid-month, let the premium engine ($5.5K) do the heavy lifting, and even after trimming 50 shares into weakness at a $2.5K loss I’m still net green. Weeklies bought back at 95%+ capture > chasing the last few bucks. The one below-basis call ($865) was the only real misstep.

Anyone else wheeling $MU into earnings season? Curious how you’re picking strikes with IV where it is.
