Won a sorrel filly at today’s auction within 10 seconds of close. She’ll be ready in August and I’m so excited and already have her trainer picked out. Obviously she won’t be able to be ridden for years but any tips are appreciated outside of the obvious! I have an older gelding and I’m wondering when they can be introduced
Hi everyone, so I have the chance to receive a free (yes I know not really free lol) 25 year old horse. I thought it would be a good way to slow down and give a senior a soft landing. However, I found an 8 year old mustang I want to bid on and would be available for pickup in my area in August. I’ve already found potential accommodations for this mustang and trainer at a decent price. Which should I go with? I know mustangs are projects but it’s been a life long dream, however the other horse is also extremely sweet. Thoughts? What would you do?
How old do you think he is? Trying to gauge if he looks healthy for his age (he’s currently not working or under saddle so his top line needs some muscle I know)
