TMB while fear of heights Day 4: lower part of Val Veny

On Day 4 tomorrow. I’ve posted a few times looking for a heads up lol
Will be taking the lower Val Veny route which passes through lagoons and goes through forests. What’s the level of exposure like/ technical difficulty.

Also I’d like to mention - thank you all who have commented on my previous posts with thorough and supportive comments, I actually repeat some of them as I’m hiking and getting nervous - but please be honest in re to the exposure / technicality

Route description: “The Miage and Brenva glaciers and the Peuterey peaks are your companions throughout the day. This stage is mostly downhill, with the trail following the Dora di Veny river for much of the way. You’ll pass small lagoons and walk through quiet forests. At the end of the day, a sunset over Mont Blanc is your well-earned reward”

Edit: I’ll be going to Refugio Monte Bianco!!

Bourge Saint Maurice to Col De La Seine - exposed areas? level of technical difficulty?

Hi everyone - I’ll be on TMB Day 3 tomorrow. I’ve previously posted about my fear of heights. Just wanted a heads up on what to expect on my route tomorrow? Are there many portions where it’s essentially cliff edge? Many technical portions with risk of falls? Etc

This is a description of the route I’ll be taking

“You can ride all the way to Refuge des Mottets to shorten the initial ascent and begin your hike from this scenic mountain hut. From here, a gradual climb leads to Col de la Seigne, the natural border between France and Italy, offering breathtaking yet manageable views. Once you cross into Italy, descend to La Casermetta Hut (2365 m) before reaching Refuge Elisabetta, your stop for the night”

Les Contamines-Montjoie to Les Chapieux: are there exposed areas? What is the technical difficulty?

Hello everyone. i am starting Day 2 TMB tomorrow.

On Day 1 I noticed I have difficulty with dealing with exposure I.e being on a cliff edge walk where there’s a steep fall. I have a fear of heights. I can power through it but I’d like to know if there any route variants - or how does this route fair from that perspective?

This is the description of the route I’ll be taking

“The well-marked trail leads you to Notre Dame de la Gorge, a historic chapel nestled in nature. If you're feeling adventurous and the weather allows, you can take an optional detour toward the Tre la Tête Glacier for even more spectacular scenery. The route then gradually ascends to the Col du Croix du Bonhomme, with plenty of opportunities to pause and take in the surroundings. After a gentle descent to Les Chapieux”

Thinking of possibly just skipping the day and going to the accommodation directly? Thoughts / advice? Anyone else taking this route tomorrow have any thoughts?
Thank you!

How badly is cash needed - starting TMB Monday

Hello,

I am starting TMB Monday 29M I’m in Chamonix and have forgotten my pin. My bank is not showing my pin online. I can only use contactless and thus has no access to cash. All my refuguos are paid for etc and I’ve read varying stuff about how heavily cash is needed - if anyone has any work around this? Or can advice what to do? Many thanks
