I'm having a very tough time at the moment. Separate to that I decided to stay on 5mg for another month before deciding if I go up to 7.5mg. I take my jabs Sunday evening, and yesterday day timw the effect were obviously wearing off because for the first time in ages I did emotional eating. Did my jab last night as usual and today I've had to call in sick to work with V&D.
Feel so stupid for making myself ill, but also so stressed.
In my company HR looks at illnesses in last 3 months
In the last 3 minths I have had half a day off for a migraine, and then 5 days off with covid/tonsillitis or something similar. HR flags if you're off for 6 days or more.
HR messaged my manager saying they were concerned with my number of absences, and asked him if he thought I needed support. He said no because a) I'm fine and b) my bradford factor score is very low.
They came back to him and said they still want a meeting with me and him.
So far HR haven't messaged me directly, and my manager agrees that they're over reacting. We're waiting for them to set up the meeting.
I guess I'm a bit confused what to say in the meeting. I don't need support for a week off with covid. And tbh I could really do without this meeting looming over me, and which is causing me much more stress than being ill did.
I've got my busiest month at work this month, I'm organising my biggest event of the year. And I'm on a maternity contract, so am looking for new jobs so will need a good reference relatively soon (in my company only HR can give references, not managers)
For any HR professionals out there, how do I politely tell HR to fuck off, and how do I make sure this won't affect my reference?
Thanks so much
