New to Pathfinder, thinking about Hard difficulty. Looking for build/resources advice

Hey everyone,

I just finished Pathfinder: Kingmaker and I'm about to start Wrath of the Righteous.

For context, I'm pretty experienced with CRPGs in general. I've beaten Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 on Tactician, but Pathfinder's ruleset never really clicked for me. I ended up playing most of Kingmaker on Story because I felt like I was spending more time fighting the system than actually learning it.

I'd like to change that with Wrath of the Righteous.

I'm considering playing on Hard because I want something that forces me to actually understand the mechanics instead of just brute forcing encounters. It'll probably be rough at first but I'm okay with that if it's a good way to learn.

A few questions:

  • Where do you all recommend looking for solid, up to date builds for both the main character and companions?
  • Is Hard a reasonable place to start for someone who's experienced with CRPGs but still pretty new to Pathfinder, or would Normal be a better learning experience?
  • Any general advice you wish you had before starting Wrath?

I'm much more familiar with D&D 5e than Pathfinder, so I'm basically trying to bridge that gap and finally get comfortable with the Pathfinder system. I typically like to make Human / Elf Rogue characters, but again the system definitely feels different than DND ( I went full Knife Master in Kingmaker lol.) I'll likely be making another Rogue in WOTR too. Thanks!

Do I win the worst pulls contest?

Just wanted to post here and check to see if I'm rank 1 unluckiest Lucy puller. Mind you I'm 30 pity with 1 more sequence to go. I could very well lose another 5050 in the 70s and then hard pity the final sequence afterwards too lol
