Finally got a full General set together! This simple 70s set is a really nice change of pace from my more modern HO stuff. The toyish whimsical-ness has a charm that newer prototypical models don't seem to have.

Help please! I just bought my first ever MPC era locomotive, the 1977 General. I serviced it as per the manual stated (still working on cleaning wheels though) and its still rather noisy. Is this a normal sound that these older 4-4-0s with E motors make or does it need to more work?
