How picky to be with tiling

Hi we've new tiles laid by reputable renovation firm.

I know nothing about tiles or building but a few things don't seem right to me there are several places where the tiles don't line up and the grout is quite uneven throughout

How picky do I be and what's the remedy even? Not lining up seems like they would need to rip them up, even uneven grout doesn't seem like they can just "top it up"

Mendel was on to Priddeaux

Okay my umpteenth reread and I feel like Mendel knows Priddeaux is out there stalking Smiley to confirm his suspicion and kill him.

Just a few quotes from Mendel where he categorically says there is no one "out there" he says it so definitely he doesn't say "not that I saw" etc.

Edit: Okay this is a very poorly asked question I'll try again

I got the impression Mendel not only understands Priddeaux in a very sort of character study way and predicts his intention and has actually spotted Priddeaux and knows he is stalking stalk Smiley unmasking the mole and kill the mole. And moreso that Mendel thinks this is A Good Thing(TM) and is complicit.

Edit 2:

These are the exact quotes

> ‘You’re clean,’ he (Mendel) said. ‘Nothing on your back, nothing on your conscience.’

> Guillam glanced back and thought for a moment he saw a figure watching them, man or woman he couldn’t tell, from the shadow of a doorway across the road; but when he drew Mendel’s attention to the spot there was nothing there, and Mendel ordered him quite roughly to calm down.

> ‘There was no one out there, was there, that you noticed?’ Smiley asked of Guillam, while they waited. ‘Quiet as the grave,’ said Mendel, answering for both of them.
