Anything special for brake pad replacement?

Is the process to replace a 22 E-tron’s brake pads the same as other Audis? Is it a big risk to get done a reputable local shop?

Now that the weather is cooler and my sunroof/windows are open, my squeaky brakes are starting to annoy me again.

I‘m finally going to get ceramic pads, but I don't want to pay dealer prices. A poplar local indy Audi shop quoted $435, which didn’t seem exorbitant but still high. Theres a small shop on my block that works on a lot of Eruo cars, that I think would be cheaper.

I’m pretty strict about getting invasive service done only at the dealer, but with breaks I’d rather save money if it’s a pretty standard job.

I love my car and have had mostly good experiences with Audi, but I do think it‘s unacceptable for any modern car to have squeaky brakes from the dealer and this really should be on Audi to fix.

The used price I paid vs original MSRP does take some of the sting out of it.

239mi at 100% After Road Trip - OG 35k

I see a lot of e-tron problem post pop up, so just wanted to share some positive news.

I took my first long-ish road trip (2+hrs each way) and averaged 2.9 miles/kwh on 182 total miles. Started at 226mi/100%, ended at 51mi/21%.

I drove from the edge of Philly to a little town in the mountains. It was around 40% highway (60-70mph), 45% expressway (50-60), 15% suburban (0-40). Average speed of 41.63mph, sunroof open at all times, a/c on only on the way back.

My usual driving is 50% stop/go city, 30% suburbs, 20% highway. I really think manufactures/epa should separate suburban MPG from real city driving, but I digress. My stats since I got my car 11,451 miles ago is 2.3 mi/kwh at average speed of 15.53mph.

My usual 80% charge range is 160mi, higher if no a/c, much lower during the winter months, so I wasn’t sure how highway road trips would be. I’m very happy and content!

Forgot to mention, Cross Climate 2s & efficiency mode.
