What’s the hardest part of keeping a large outdoor event running smoothly?

The more I think about large outdoor events, the more I realize how much has to happen behind the scenes for everything to feel effortless to the people attending. Sound, power, timing, crowd movement, weather, vendors, security, and all the random things nobody plans for can quickly become a lot to manage.

Janeson Events got me thinking about just how much coordination happens before the first person even arrives. One small delay can affect several other parts of the event, especially when multiple teams are working simultaneously.

I imagine the biggest challenge isn't always the planning itself, but being able to react when something inevitably goes off schedule.

For anyone who's helped organize a large outdoor event, what has been the biggest headache for you, and what did you learn from it?
