Afterall our sun is also a star
Shades of the setting sun. East Coast USA
Art of sea and the craft of man, sunsets out here hit different, especially after a day of drenched coveralls
Back during my container ships time, got to Miami on a gloomy afternoon, a side of Miami people rarely get to see
The storms, swells and the seas the ship would’ve gone through to reach here. A globetrotting vessel tied to a bollard that belongs to the Spanish Land.
No one would’ve believed if it weren’t for this picture
Somewhere in North Atlantic Ocean
Hey there fellow seafarers and ship spotters! Thanks for the upvotes and comments, will keep me going for sure. This here is a picture I took of MV AVILLA while at anchorage, she looks beautiful as she was intimidating from the position, right behind us of less than a mile, having the same almost the bearing as us (2 degrees towards the east than ours).
We were having Saturday party on the aft deck, and came across this fellow bulker. Just got sunk in the moment of thinking how did we all end up here like in places probably 99% of the population would never be, emergency and rescue services days away at the nearest, trusting the engineers for maintaining the vessels seaworthiness and the officer of the watch makes sure we don’t run into anyone and yet we’re just partying and having a good time, in the middle of nowhere (literally). Just imagining having this party, dance and loud music, from a bird’s eye POV, nothing else in sight just a ship tearing through water, leaving behind its trail wake for miles and loud music echoing through the air of the far side of the world gives me chills.
Alright now back to watch.
Chilling in the poop deck at anchorage is the only way to keep me sane
It was our little bunker barge near YEOSU, South Korea for our Suezmax Bulk carrier
