How would one go about repairing a broken stock?
Smith and Wesson 1854 that I’ve only owned for a couple of months and maybe 300-400 rounds. Went to the range today and at the end of the session it won’t cycle anymore. Bolt is stuck open, hammer won’t hardly move. I get home to disassemble it and fix the problem and that little chunk of wood falls out from the stock. I’m guessing it broke at some point but I haven’t been rough with the gun at all.
Is this something that should just be fully replaced? Is it something I (or a professional) could just epoxy back in place? Would S&W warranty something like this? Is this sort of breakage common? Thanks in advance and/or sorry if this isn’t allowed.
