I’ve tried NAM over and over. I’ve bought tones online, I’ve spent quite a bit of time trying to understand the hype but I just don’t. NAM is so unintuitive. I don’t know how to capture an amp, create an ir, effect or anything like that. I’m simply a user.

My problem is I go to tone3000, download the amp, utilize the nam gateway and I don’t immediately love it. Ok no problem if I could tweak it. Instead I have to sift through a list of dozens of slightly different models of the same amp or ir each with a letter or number different in the name (which once again I don’t even know what it is or understand). For me this is beyond option paralysis and just feels above my level of understanding. I just bought a fractal am4 because k heard it’s the best quality modeler and watched some Leon Todd videos, but today I saw headrush added nam. Still I don’t understand all the love for nam. It being added to headrush makes me feel buying the am4 was a mistake. Now that it’s on headrush, can I actually tweak tones? Even then I still find it difficult to find the actual amp I want to play. Are there nam pedals that can be used with the headrush? Are there nam expression pedals to utilize the pedal on the headrush?

Someone please help me understand what’s the deal with all of this, if I made a mistake buying the am4, and whatever else it is I’m missing.

Essay topics are semi TBD but will probably have to do with work at both those internships and/or my deep leadership and involvement roles in my Armenian community.

Only issue is my SAT is 1350. I will be taking August and October SAT but not confident for the 1500 range. I work about 60 hours a week between my 2 internships plus part time job at a small Armenian sandwich shop so I don’t have too much luxury studying time.

Just ordered a Vader HSH with push pull coil split tone knob. Will the tone switch be 3 way or 5 way? Will I be able to use the middle pickup by itself like a Strat?

So I called and found out yes it is still the 5-way. Extremely versatile. For anyone curious.
