Ebony or Grenadilla?

Just bought a used recorder and it is a mystery if the wood is Ebony or Grenadilla. Either way makes no difference to me, I just thirst for knowledge.

What I know:

Moeck Rottenburgh 539

the seller said it was from 1986 but I cannot find an exact date of purchase or when it was made (there’s a recorder poster inside dated 1986, so probably close to then).

The wood is very nearly black and only shows some brownish tones in the mid section, photos attached. The wood seems a little bit porous to me (tiny indents on the outside finish). The wood had a strong smell similar to how museums smell. I cleaned and oiled the recorder and the smell is a lot less but it still has a slight museum-like smell to it.

For these reasons I am guessing the wood is Ebony and not Grenadilla but I could be absolutely wrong. Curious on anyone’s opinion.

Bonus points if you know if the rings are in some sort of bone or not. I have not UV tested it yet, sorry, but I see lines in them.
