The extreme uncivilized torture from MDI-G is getting unbearable.
Using a throwaway to avoid repercussions. In the first 2 weeks of our Induction program, we were given random tasks with 1 hour deadlines at any random time in the middle of the night: 2 AM, 3 AM, 4 AM tasks. I get that "they're preparing us for placements" but the way they talk to us is very degrading.
The student council and treasurer, academic secretary, general secretary (TAG) trained us to not look at seniors while speaking, instead looking straight at the wall and starting every sentence with "26PGXXXXXX<Name>Acknowledged."
They were literally screaming at us for hesitating or stammering while speaking out our acknowledgements. We're also asked to apologize in a specific format: "26PGXXXXX<Name>Apologies."
We were asked to memorize the names and faces of PlaceCom members and avoid them at all costs. Whenever in sight, we're supposed to run away and not occupy the same space as them, or it may lead to infractions and docks.
Infractions being a precursor to a dock, which in turn means your name is removed from 1 placement shortlist. Some people have received multiple infractions and docks and many of them don't even know why.
Lately the Prep team has created CV WhatsApp groups and asked us to reply to every message they send with a TAT of 3 minutes. The messages could be any time, even during the night. You could be shitting in the toilet, having a shower, on a call with your parents, having dinner, or even sleeping. You can't break the TAT, or else you might be asked to leave (some people have been removed from their groups).
I understand they're preparing us for coporate world ahead, but isn't the point of an MBA to get better jobs with better dignity and less abuse instead of preparing for labor rights abuses?
Not to mention that in the 2nd week itself over 50 people got food poisoning from mess food, and the toilets and bathrooms are very dirty, with dirty water often coming from bathroom taps, and sometimes no water coming at all.
