Hello I’m looking for anyone who knows information about this. I currently hold a Visitor Visa V1-VLSTS and it expires in February 2027.
I am going to change my status to a Carte de séjour de membre de la famille d'un citoyen de l'Union eyropéenne. I know the rule is to renew the visa it has to be 4-2 month before the expiration date. Does that still apply if I’m changing my status? I’m waiting for some documents from the States and I don’t think they will arrive before December. What should I do? Can I still apply for the CdS after the 2 month cut off? Does that still apply if I’m not renewing the same visa I currently hold? Any advice will help

In need of any advice that might help with this process. Me and my boyfriend are applying in November. We are getting PACS’s this month or in October. But for the residence card I would like some help with things they need for the application, any advice, things I should or shouldn’t do. Any help is great

Hi everyone,
I'm currently on a Visitor Visa V1 VLSTS and planning to apply for a change of status to Vie privée et familiale after PACS with my Italian partner who has French residency since a young age.

I have two questions for those who've done this recently:

1. Me and my boyfriend have been living together and have been since I came back with my visitor visa. I know in order to do the VPF visa you have to have utilities bills together. The thing is we live in a house owned by his family so we are not obligated to pay rent or utilities. Is this certain that we need this type of proof in order to do the vie privée et familiale visa? What else could we do to prove we live together and have common life?

We also don’t have any joint accounts together, what should we do?

Any recent experience and advice would be really appreciated!
