What Type Of Feeder Do You Use?
I got Hera an elevated dog feeder with a puzzle bowl but then someone said that can increase bloat in large breed dogs (the elevated feeder).
Do you feed your Rhodes with elevated feeders or just in the floor?

F62. Six hours out from my LTHR. So far so good. They actually kept me overnight (lost my husband 2 months ago so they did it for my safety). I had a epidural (not fun, but not terrible), then anesthesia. I was out until the recovery room. I was clear with the anesthesiologist about my previous nausea and I had zero. My nurse had told me to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate for 3 days before and to make sure I ate good meals the day before, so maybe that was the key.
They took me into the OR at 12:45 and I was in my room by 7:00 pm. Achy pain, so far, but not terrible. They got me up at midnight 🤬 to walk with a walker and it was fine. I did make the mistake of waiting a little late on the pain meds, cuz sleep, and paid for it for about 30 minutes so I’ve set my alarm for the next dose.
My GF’s had packed snacks and my friend (college roommate) who had flown out to stay with me for two weeks, mostly for the puppy, brought them in my overnight bag. That was a life saver. Still drinking tons of water. Brought my face mask so I could sleep with all this light and it’s been a game changer.
Surgeon has checked on me twice and I’ll have PT tomorrow and removal of the catheter before they send me home. The tape over the incision is 5 1/2 inches long. I have a nurse assigned to me for the next two weeks and we’ll talk daily which is going to be very helpful. PT for two weeks twice a week at the house.
I’d give it five stars!! 😂 I know there’s going to be some tough days ahead but I was very anxious leading up to this and grateful it went very smoothly.
