Pinstripes: The case for a kit identity

Pinstripes: The case for a kit identity

The inaugural away kit is among my favorites to date. Sure, there are changes to be made (I’m looking at you giant sponsor logo), but in my opinion it was clean and classy. I loved that it tipped a cap to St. Louis’ baseball history, with the Cardinals wearing pinstripes as early as 1918. I liked that it was unique among MLS kits. Seeing Inter Milan’s new kit confirmed to me that pinstripes are the way!

I would love to see pinstripes incorporated into either the home or away kit each year as the clubs primary identity. What do you think?!

EDIT: Love the discussion, keep it going!

Quick Summary: A kit identity would generally be welcomed. What that identity should be…? Pinstripes are polarizing. Tina kit is, well, we’re winning so who cares. CITY Red is GOATED.

Hot Take: The Confluence Kit is actually a take on, or variant of, the pinstripe idea (in the metaverse, alternative timeline, and “is a hotdog a sandwich” sort of way)

Bring this back for 2026!

Currently watching the new Dempsey documentary on Paramount. Toward the end of E2, Dempsey and others are seen wearing a version of these old school hockey masks (forgive the awful mock design). Does anyone else think that bringing something like this back, updated for the 2026 World Cup, could be awesome to see at the games?

Show me your designs!
