Name in Lights EDL mini now also sold out

Name in Lights EDL mini now also sold out

Wow I guess BBW was not kidding about “may sell out quickly.”

These three online exclusive everyday luxury scents first appeared perhaps by mistake on 5/11 when the Mandalorian & Grogu full line launched. They were there for like an hour when they were pulled. The scents did not appear by search at the time; they were only in the new Everyday Luxury Collection section BBW made, at the bottom.

People who ordered that day did get their orders fulfilled however.

The trio officially dropped this Monday on 5/18, this time appearing with the banner “online exclusive” and the notice “may sell out quickly,” similar to the new notice BBW had made for the 5/4 Mandalorian & Grogu online exclusive drop.

Oh My Rhubarb sold out yesterday 5/20 (Wednesday). And there was difficulty checking out yesterday for some for the others. Name in Lights sold out today 5/21.

Both scents were easier to guess by the community and by fragrance influencers who received PR packages with the new EDL minis. Commodity Juice and Paco Rabanne Name in Lights.

V.I.Pear has been the most enigmatic but the consensus seems to be now that it is Versace Dylan Purple. Which has a distinctively purple bottle and name while V.I.Pear is in a green bottle.

Will these come in full size? One or two people have said so but there has largely been no confirmation or any pictures, which normally should come out at this point.

Is there a drop happening 5/21?

I heard there was but haven’t heard much about it? That’s only in a few days.

Do you think there’s a drop happening before summer SAS (allegedly 6/15)?

Any more info please?

The dupes for the 3 everyday luxury minis! Guessed by @Leahjanae

The three mini everyday luxury collection mists dropped today as an online exclusive.

@leahjanae on Tik Tok got sent a PR package with the minis and here are her thoughts! She has been the among the first to guess the EDL dupes the last couple rounds so I always look to her videos.

- Name in Lights = Paco Rabanne Fame. BBW’s version is a little more mango and a little more synthetic.
- Oh My Rhubarb = Commodity Juice. They have similarities and differences, with the most similarities in the opening. BBW’s version is more strawberry juicy sweet. And Commodity Juice’s rhubarb is sharper. She says she likes BBW’s version a little more.
- V.I.Pear = Versace Dylan Purple! One person guessed this in a thread but I didn’t believe them because the name and bottle color didn’t seem alike, and Leah thought the same thing. But yes these two are dupes according to Leah. They both have a cedarwood note too.

Will you be getting these?

BBW body mists I made a dent in recently (review)

Wanted to know what progress I’ve been making with my body mists! I do have a decent size collection and I am not an oversprayer (usually just spray on my wrists and occasionally my clothes).

Minis:

- Waikiki Beach Coconut: smells pleasant like breezy palm trees and pina colada. I found out this scent actually has all these notes: Top Notes: Fresh Bamboo, Coral Berry. / Mid Notes: Pink Passionflower, Hawaiian Frangipani, Coconut Jasmine, Saltwater Breeze. / Dry Notes: Beach Coconut, Sun-bleached Woods, Forest Sandalwood. There is something green in this fragrance and I think it could be the “fresh bamboo” or “forest sandalwood.”
- Covered in Roses: when this fragrance came out I thought it was heavy and overwhelming. Lately I’ve been warming up to its tart rhubarb note that I think is like a sticky sweet rhubarb compared to the transparent version in Imperfect Beauty. Looking up the scent notes for Parfums de Marly Delina helped me understand and appreciate Covered in Roses. I even got another mini in the new refreshed packaging version. Actually yes the two versions are somewhat different. The new version has a fruity brightness that does resemble Aurora, a comparison which first confused me. The old everyday luxury version is not as fruity but to me is a bit better blended on the dry down. Yes the new version may be a little stronger though, which is unusual for a repackage. Possibly stronger in the opening notes but not as strong in the dry down though.
- Viva Brazil: @MrandMrsSniff on Tik Tok smelled this one and said they got candle. And also cinnamon. Actually agree with them. Impressed they got the cinnamon note on a quick sniff. I still do like Viva Brazil anyway though. @Kekesscentedlounge on YouTube layered this with Peepin It Real and actually it does work and makes me smell the little tiny bit of coconut milk in Viva Brazil.
- Life’s A Fairytale: though I think this fragrant doesn’t quite have enough lasting power, it is an enjoyable blueberry sugar fragrance that also complements Dark Kiss well. I might get it anyway if it makes it to SAS.

Full size:

- Peepin It Real: I haven’t quite convinced myself to part with this one yet. There is something I’m in the mood for sometimes. I don’t quite like the Lucky Charms marshmallow note that’s in here that reminds me a bit too much of cereal.
- Dreaming of Rio: I haven’t used a lot of it yet but I do feel like I’m going to miss it when it’s gone.
- Dark Kiss: whenever I smell this I think of vampires. Was this a Twilight era fragrance? It has like a little bit of dirt in the scent. Plus some rose and powder and it smells purple. I imagine like a coffin and a Victorian night gown and like a perfume. It’s an evocative fragrance I like occasionally since it’s a little powdery on me.
- Imperfect Beauty: I just noticed there’s a certain similarity between this and Always Fleur. Maybe it’s the clean and airy musk note that’s also comes across as dewy. I shrugged when this one first came out but took a chance on it at winter SAS and glad i did. It’s a very pretty fragrance with its softly creamy almond milk (Marc Jacobs Perfect note) cashmere dry down. Maybe if the almond milk note was on the bottle people would pay more attention since “radiant cashmere” is more abstract/vague.
- Apres All Day: thought this was similar to Forever Cherry Blossom and wanted to give this one another go since I already had it. Maybe I don’t really like this one in actuality… still wondering if I’d like FCB.
- Mulan: surprised at this dent! Had a mini I also put a dent in then upgraded to full size. Didn’t like this one at first (thought the apricot was too sweet). But it definitely grew on me and now I smell the aquatic notes which I didn’t before. I believe this scent also has a greenery and woods note from the perfumers description. It is a more complex fragrance than what BBW went with—feel like the three notes they chose doesn’t capture its dry down which comes across as tea to me.
- Always Fleur: just wore this recently on a road trip with family. . . This is a nice scent to spray on clothes that lasts a while and is not offensive. Quite the easy reach for its clean and sophisticated floral scent. I do think this scent has more florals than just rose. I smell jasmine. After Mulan, Always Fleur is my biggest dent this spring. I guess it’s a theme of this post because I also yawned with this scent at first. And it definitely grew on me. Maybe I didn’t need another fresh scent or another rose or rose jasmine scent. But it’s just so easy to wear and likable while also coming across as elegant. I think this makes Always Fleur a very giftable fragrance.

Thoughts

It is neat to see I’ve made some sizable dents in my body mists. I didn’t realize I reached almost halfway with some of my minis or approaching a quarter gone for full size (Mulan and Always Fleur). I think this post makes me realize how much my feelings do change. And perhaps I can still like some fragrances I have been initially bored with?

I like Waikiki beach coconut but feel like something about it is a little similar to dreaming of Rio. Maybe that’s not that much of a problem though that I think it is.

I did like Apres All Day at first and wonder if I can return to those feelings.

BBW aesthetics! By @listipedia nostalgica

Thought these collages were cool! If you go to @listipedia nostalgica they have some more. I just screenshotted my favorites. They said their source for images was Pinterest.

Which image is your favorite? I think a lot of these represent the fragrance well.

- book loft - I kinda didn’t understand why book loft had pink packaging as it’s not a pink smelling fragrance to me (more like a warm gray scent). But seeing the images I do kinda get it
- I like how the Infinite Radiance has all the light textures
- the Japanese cherry blossom collage actually makes me want to go out and get the fragrance! I think the images capture a sense of darkness I think the fragrance also has.
- saltwater breeze: I like how the images of the ocean waves have sparkly gold in it. This fragrance is very sparkly to me

Seeing all these collages actually makes me appreciate how many different fragrances BBW has made. Some of their scents do transport me very well.

Is storing body mists on their sides ok? Does it leak?

I inherited this storage cart—was trying to figure out how to use it. The trays are shallow and wide and it seems to work best for laying the mists on their sides. But will there be trouble down the line if I store my mists this way? I was thinking I could store them this way for about a year.

Should I try to store them upright instead?

Anyway here’s some of my fresh/clean scents.
- Fresh Cut Lilacs: wish they brought this around again in body mist for spring. It’s a nice one, similar to the candle.
- Tiana, Mulan, Imperfect Beauty, Off the Vine: some of my favorites are now in store (or online). Good time for fresh/clean lovers. Anyone who likes green scents should definitely try Off the Vine.
- Gingham: just picked this up during the recent sale. Actually it does remind me of Mulan, but less sweet, more crisp and clean. The clementine note it has is different.
- At the Beach: actually this is an interesting scent from BBW. Quite salty. Maybe I’ll get a full size eventually?

Mandalorian & Grogu display! Coin purse review

Went in stores today to check out the Mandalorian & Grogu collab around 5pm

Some items looked low stock like the car scent holder and the candle holder (only one) and the circle sunset wallflower

How much stock is there for this collab? Feels like there is less product on display than other floorsets. The back half of the display was just other men’s shop scents like Ocean, Noir, etc. So the full display was just the front and sides.

BOPIS was turned off today so I think that accounts for items like the pocketbac holders still being in stock.

Everything looked pretty high quality and nice for BBW. My favorite is the helmet pocketbac holder. But the Mandalorian and Grogu one had some awesome details—even the neck of Mandalorian could move up a little (that’s how you play the sound I think).

The helmet pocketbac is kind of cool because the button is small and in a place where it won’t get pressed accidentally (in the front under the jaw). It is surprisingly not a hard material, just like a stress ball kind of rubber. Has a bit of foam rubber insert rather than just being made of all rubber. Maybe the seal is a little less solid around the pocketbac but I wouldn’t be too worried. The design is cool. Would’ve gotten but I’m more into Grogu (sadly missed out). It’s $14.95.

Yeah this is a nicely thought out collab. I like all the designs.

Even I think the body spray scents are similar to the cologne BBW does, but just a bit nicer and more natural smelling. If you like Honorable or Glory mixed with a bit of Ocean you’d probably like Bounty Hunter. If you like To the Moon you’d probably like Force Flow. I didn’t try the colognes but think they would be nice as both body sprays did have some strength. I like the collectible tins they’re cool.

There is no hand sanitizers in these two scents. What was on display was Eucalyptus instead. And some other ones. I think the idea is to draw customers into trying more men’s shop items.

Grogu Coin purse

Grogu Coin purse: someone was asking how wide it opened. There is better space than both the Snow White blue bird and Aurora crown. The coin purse is longer and opens wider. Probably better for fitting dollars too. But not as much space for coins as the Mulan one which had a wider base. I think this Grogu coin purse is functional, can work for storing some coins decently.

Both wallflowers now sold out online

It’s 6:30 pm est and now seeing both wallflowers have sold out online. This comes after the Grogu car scent holder sold out earlier online at 3pm. I think it probably was the least item in stock when I went in stores today at 5pm because of that.

I did see both in stores as BOPIS has been turned off the whole day. There wasn’t much traffic in store today so I saw everything.

But I think tomorrow is going to be a different story when BOPIS turns on. If these online sales are anything to go by!

I think they are both good looking wallflowers but thought the sunset one was better. The helmet had some markings on it

New single wick figural candle: $22.95, online exclusive in Fresh Amalfi Lemon

Single wick candle in shape of a lemon with lid.

This is a new product type right?

It’s an online exclusive

u/Remarkable_Bake_759 — 11 days ago

New online exclusives section?

I feel like there are some new sections in the menu right? I haven’t noticed an “online exclusives” section before… is it new?

Three new everyday luxuries: travel size only? Online exclusives!

For the first time it appears that BBW has released three new everyday luxury scents as online exclusives.

For the moment it appears as though they are in travel size only. Though it could be the website hasn’t updated yet?

The scents are:

- V.I.Pear
- Oh My Rhubarb
- Name in Lights

Floorset! 5/11 - Mandalorian & Grogu

Wow this is a good looking display. But maybe it seems on the small side? Half of the display is filled with other men’s shop scents such as Ocean, Noir, the orange one (?).

The offer tomorrow by the way is buy 3 get 1 free all full size body, skin and hair care.

I am looking at the stock and it seems like maybe there’s not that many accessories put out. The two pocketbac holders (Mandalorian & Grogu, Mandalorian helmet) both fit in one box.

It seems true that the online preview of the five items on 5/4 (Grogu pocketbac holder, two bags, ice planet candle, Grogu lunch box) were in fact online exclusives only as I don’t see any on the table.

BBW did a great job with this collection. But it does seem like it’s meant to be limited edition, small launch. Unless there’s much more back stock or it varies by location. Plenty of soaps though.

Here is a post with the prices if you are interested https://www.reddit.com/r/bathandbodyworks/s/d92LTR1C8X

Touch of Gold discontinuing?

I haven’t been keeping that close an eye, but it seems like the mist for Touch of Gold has been unavailable for shipping for at least a week or two.

Do you think this fragrance will be discontinuing soon? Or maybe repackaged?

Coastal Dreaming vs Beach Nights @Queenofthegirlgeeks

Haven’t smelled either! Would you say the new Coastal Dreaming has a similarity to Beach Nights? Preference between the two?

Surprised @queenofthegirlgeeks prefers Coastal Dreaming because I thought her preference was gourmand most of the time.

Her post: http://youtube.com/post/UgkxgAwvvrnz1gQ3VHyWQEIHTNgnPX\_ab30h?si=ec0mBkSM635ybwBm

Was also just watching @thecandlechannel review of Coastal Dreaming body wash. He also says it reminds him of a less gourmand Beach Nights, less marshmallow-y. More just vanilla. And more salty. He would be interested in a Coastal Dreaming candle if there was one (there isn’t).

Meet Me in Miami = Vacation by Vacation dupe? @thecandlechannel

@thecandlechannel says the upcoming re-release Meet Me in Miami (dropping Monday 5/11) is likely heavily inspired by Vacation classic sunscreen scent. He has Meet Me in Miami in previous packaging (I think) body wash and the new candle with the blue lid.

Review: https://youtu.be/edxkfIM8hxs?si=d1fvsY9iexm7bDYC

Meet Me in Miami description:
> Shaded by palms, sweetened with tropical fruits and full of sunshine, Meet Me in Miami is sweet, hot and buzzing with excitement. It's a carefree, sun-kissed, drinks-by-the-pool kind of summer, and this destination fragrance is your way in.

Meet Me in Miami scent notes:
> Fragrance notes: breezy palm trees, cabana coladas and sun-tanned days.

Vacation sunscreen scent notes:
> combines notes of coconut, banana, pool water, pool toy and swimsuit fabric.

He says that despite the scent notes, Meet in Miami smells like coconut and banana with a synthetic note like the pool toy note in Vacation. He says it’s a miss that BBW doesn’t list the pool toy (or similar) notes because it’s the type of fun note that once you smell it, you get it.

Do you guys agree that Meet Me in Miami smells like Vacation classic sunscreen? Does the Vacation scent notes make more sense for the fragrance than BBW’s?

Maybe BBW was hinting at their inspiration with the “drinks-by-the-pool” phrase. What do you think?

More summer hand soaps @entermpear

Check it out Coconut Lime Verbena is coming back in hand soap form

Does anyone know when these are coming or if they will be available in other forms?

Also I wonder if this means they aren’t bringing back cucumber melon for SAS
