Hi, I am looking at having a medium size ventral hernia surgery (above my belly button) 3x5 cm. My surgeon said he would do robotic but can’t tell if he would do TAPP, eTEP, or IPOM until he gets in and sees my anatomy. I asked if he would fix diastasis and he said not really. He said, “I’ll have to pull ab muscles together but won’t fully fix diastasis.” Any thoughts on this? Also, I am nervous as heck to do this. I have no issues, just a big, unsightly bulge. Any advice or stories will help! Thank you!
