What could be the conversations between David and Blair Berk?

"He did not kill her nor was he the cause of her death" said Blair Berk during the arraignment.
Is it a generic statement from a criminal lawyer in the case of a non guilty plea? I assume that it covers first degree and second degree murder.

She made those statements before having access to the autopsy report and the evidence. Do you think David lied to her when he hired her? Do you think he told her straight up that he stabbed her and Blair still chose a non guilty plea? Or do you think she did not know and, after reviewing the autopsy report, she confronted him so she can build a better defense strategy? (Hence the delaying despite asking initially for a quick prelim).

Obviously the autopsy report findings are key and will be extensively discussed back and forth between experts on both sides. Any ideas of the critical points?

Of course this is all speculation. But does anyone has extensive knowledge of previous criminal cases and can give exemples?
Overall, I am curious about the dynamic between a criminal lawyer and an obviously guilty client in a non guilty plea.
