I have a 2024 gigabyte g6 kf that died, anyone know how vital this chip / capacitor are?

My laptop was dead, no biggie. I plug it in and nothing, I take it apart and inspect battery connections, all fine, plug it in and smoke

Anyone know how this could have happened? I've been using the same power cable for over a year and a half, as long as I've had it
